Well it works as stated. But it is very difficult to apply it to your plane. I am trying to use it on a 1/4 scale 110 in wing span .If the glass tube was bent or shaped in a U shape it would be more user friendly and I would buy several more . The tube is about 3/4in, 19mm long in a straight line.

When I received my strobe I was very disappointed as it was NOT bright and could not be seen in daylight as some claim. However, I now use a 7.4 volt 2s Lipo and that improved it somewhat but still no good in daylight. I went to Jaycar and bought a larger Xenon tube and fitted it to the unit. I have it mounted under my Radian glider and now I can see it unless it is in bright sunshine. Flying in the evening it looks really great. I am happy now I have modded it. The Lipo battery lasts for many flights before I have to charge it. Unless you do these mods, you will be disappointed with the strobe. My rating for the product is based on my original assessment when I purchased it.

After reading reviews I decide to buy one of these single strobe units for my scale model, however, it just does not cut it with me. The brightness is disappointing. (super bright LEDS are better than this thing) and the long shape of the tube makes it difficult to fit in any scale aircraft. It is not worth taking the time to fit it. The pulse is also too slow and can't be sped up to an acceptable speed. In the drawer it goes. Can't think of any other use for it at all.

Very well! Works fine at 7.4v!! at 3.7v is too slow and is not possible to regulate it! I must buy another strobe at soon is possible.

very bright and awesome strobe. The length of the strobe is small. Be careful, do not touch any of the contacts while in operation. even after operation do not touch any of the contacts... or esle you will get a high voltage shock... good value for money.

Connected mine to a 20C 250mah 1S 3.7volt lipo which weighs next to nothing - soldered a JST male plug to the battery so it fits the female JST strobe power connector. Still running strong after 30 minutes. Flashes about once every 2.5 to 3 seconds. The adjustment on unit for flash rate only will change the rate of flashes by a half of second or so between fast and slow. Have not tried it outdoors on a bright day but should be visible. I am happy with it.. After all what do you want for around 12 bucks?

this is a flash discharge bulb! this single strobe light is brighter than the double strobe light! the brightness is lower if you set it for quick blinks to care for that.
