If you are on the fence about buying this buggy, don't be, It is an excellent model from smartech a higher-end Chinese company, this is not a clone, this is a smartech thunderbolt with turnigy stickers on it. mine fired up right away, carb was very close from the get-go and is powerful enough and fast enough for it's size.

it does have drawbacks- 1- all the linkages WILL NEED to be adjusted as they are way out of whack, and it will fling grease from the center diff as it is not sealed AT ALL and it only fits a 1600 MAH 5-cell rx pack, but I would suggest a 1900 LiFe pack instead.

I tore it down and was pleased to find no stripped plastic or missing parts.

I love this car its fun to bash again and its VERY durable for a 30lbs tank.

Great Buggy!!! Got mine today. Put RX and gas in it and ran 4 tanks of fuel through it. Only problem was wheel nuts coming loose. This one is a home run in my books.

Bought it in -100$ sale, great value for the money. I nearly lost both front and rear drive shafts and differential drive stub because i didn't check all the screws and e-clips, my mistake. it needs some small fixes and tuning before first drive. engine could have more power. for recreational driving it is ok, but for better performance, tuned pipe is a must.
I used this 33kg servos http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10746__Turnigy_S8166M_Servo_154g_33kg_21sec_DE_Warehouse_.html they perform great. Hobbyking offers some spare parts for great price and there are also others (you cant find here) around the internet, for both car and engine.

Got this buggy in about 5 days. Pretty good for the price. Kinda takes a while to start the engine when it is cold. Make sure you check EVERY single bolt, screw, and allen head for proper tightness before running. After running for a bit you might need to lean out the low idle screw because it is set rich from the factory. But for the price it is fun and sounds mean to and is pretty fast for its size.Over all with a few slight adjustments and tweeking it is a pretty fun rc. Turns heads around the neighborhood too!! thanks hk
