The Turnigy TR-55 engine packs a 5.6HP punch and includes an all machined billet alloy crank, high-power reed valves and porting for high torque! The machined billet aluminum case is strong, and lightweight, that combined with the power it puts out makes the TR-55 perfect for your 50-55CC class 3D and Aerobatic airplanes. Since the TR-55 runs on regular pump gas, operational costs are low, and the fun factor high.
• Billet aluminum case with sand cast cylinder heads
• CDI electronic ignition

I have this beautiful engine mounted on an 87 inch Yak 54 and all I can say is WOW! Awesome power and reliability. Running a 22X8 for break in and pulls the Yak like a rag doll. Really happy with the purchaseI've been running this motor on my Primo Grande 3D profile plane (20 lbs). I have around 11 litres of gas through it spinning a 23x8 prop. I'm really impressed with the quality and performance. I'm using Red-Line synthetic oil 40:1. It starts very easy and is very reliable. Great transition from low to high throttle. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The only thing I changed was the spark plug to an NGK with a 24mm gap.Meu motor turnigy TR-55 quebrou o bloco, acredito que veio com defeito de fabrica, pois ainda no vi relatos sobre esse problema. vou aguardar pra ver se chega no estoque da hobbyking.
My TR-55 Turnigy motor broke Crankcase, I believe that came defective from the factory, because I have not seen reports of this problem. I will wait to see if the stock reaches the HobbyKing.Damn good engine fires up every time ...I liked the first one so well on my 50cc raven that I bought another one for my 50cc sbach 342...you won't be disappointed with this oneBought one, quite nice, required no tuning, muffler is pretty bulky so I swapped it with an aftermarket wrap around. Pulls a top flite giant p-47 with authority, wanted to buy another, but every 50ish cc they have is out of stock...No one could tell me which prop jig fit this engine so I purchased PRODUCT ID: DJ-DLE30-55 hoping it would match and it did. I don't understand why HobbyKing can't provide that information. Hobbyking sells some good products but they really need help with the descriptions and specifications. I haven't run the engine yet but the quality looks good.nice accessories!! vry good made esy to install, nice accessories!! vry good made esy to install, nice accessories!! vry good made esy to install, nice accessories!! vry good made esy to install, nice accessories!! vry good made esy to install,Nie jest to DLA 56 ale jego wierna kopia, ganik Walbro WT, ukad zaponowy na li-pol 2S, po wymianie wiecy na NGK silnik odpala i pracuje idealnie na migle 23x8, za te pienidze niczego lepszego si nie kupi.I bought the Turnigy TR-55 together with the Turnigy Long Muffler with Header for 50-60cc Gas Engines for my Extra 330SC from Gernot Bruckmann models (wingspan 2,3 meters). This combination fits very well under the cowl and is easy to mount. I wanted to find a superb air screw that meets the demands for both classical F3A pattern flying and 3D-aerobatics. I flew several pattern programs and tested about a dozen propellers. Let's start with the HobbyKing TCF 22X8 and 22x10 High Precision Carbon Fibre Sport Propellers: They are cheap but far too loud and not efficient enough for the power the TR-55 provides. My favourite prop for 3D is the Fiala 24x10 wooden air screw, which suits the motor best but the noise level is far too high as well. The best propeller you can find for the TR-55 is a Mejzlik 24x10 carbon prop, because the noise level is very low, the efficency and thrust are very high and at full throttle it turns around at about 6,100 rpm. This combination produces even less noise than a comparable electric drive like an AXI-5345/14 with a 23x8 Elster carbon airscrew and 12s/5000mAh/40C Turnigy lipo which was in the aerobatic plane before I mounted the gas engine. A tick more than half throttle and the 3D-plane hangs amazingly stable in the torque roll. The TR-55 starts very well in cold, mild and hot weather, and humidity doesn't matter. If you want to restart the engiThis has to be the best gas engine in my collection .It was quick to draw fuel and started up right away It idled the slowest (1800) of any of my engines and turned 7400 with a Zinger 22-8 right out of the box! Other info: 30:1 gas oil mix. comes with walbro carb, Xcel ignition with tach connection. I gave it 5 stars
