I ♡ Trackstar!

Nov 24, 2023

I originally bought this to replace my Stampede's 3351x motor that pulled their infamous "rotor shaft separation from magnets" trick! I epoxy'd the 3351x rotor stronger than new but I just wanted to replace it anyway. Since 3351x motors are discontinued and so hard to find new, and having their "trick" (fault) I decided to find a replacement. Well finding a 2Pole motor to work with my 3355x ESC was not easy AT ALL!!! Then I found this! It is even better than the 3351x because it's Sensored and so I can use my 3355x sensor port FINALLY! I have since purchased the SCT 5.5T for the Stampede and that was the PERFECT MOTOR for it! This motor has been rolling out under diffrent bodies as of late! I ran it in a Vendetta on a sensored Hobbystar 150 Pro and it sung a beautiful song! I tried it in a Slash converted into a Drag Slash using a spare 3355x i picked up at an RC mart for $50 and it roasted all that stepped up! And i mean ALL! Like as in ALL the peeps wanting to multimeter check my LiPo and see my motor and esc and play the "its not me or my equipment there's no way this guy beat me with a $50 esc and a $50 motor!!!!" Well the $100 bundle did beat them and I was just as surprised!!!! I love Trackstar motors, and the Turnigy XK motors. I love Hobbyking! And I owe Hobbyking a big THANK YOU for supplying me with some quality running gear and batteries over the years. I haven't had a single issue with anything I purchased here at Hobbyking, thank you, Thank You , THANK YOU! On this Thanksgiving day 2023 I really mean it, THANK YOU HOBBYKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Excellent motor for the price

Oct 22, 2019

It's got lots of power and quite fun for bashing. It's not the most powerful motor around and a high grade 4-pole would be superior but for the price it's great. It gets close to being too hot with some hard driving on stock timing at 3S so I added a heatsink and 2x 30mm WTF fans and everything is great now. I'm running mine sensored with a GenII ESC and it is quite smooth even at 100% takeoff and at slow speeds.

This is a good motor. NOTE: it is only 2 pole so it may not have the power for larger dirt tracks. For smaller tracks meant for 10th scale it is perfect. Get a PRO4 HD for 8th scale tracks.

Superb motor, heaps of torque and power for my 4wd Short Course Truck. This motor is extremely good value for the money compared to other very expensive motors. Very very fast and good quality so far.

I installed this motor in a hobao hyper 10 tt. I used a 80A Xcar esc with sensor plug. I use Low gearing (13t pinion and stock spur) and no timing or turbo settings in ESC. With this config i dont need use large recomended ESC (120A ESC). Motor and ESC dont get hot and my hyper TT are plenty of speed and punch with 2S lipo (nanotech lipo 60c). I can use several lipo batery without wait for electronic get cold. Very Very happy with this buy.

I purchased one of these over 12 months ago. Its been used often in several different vehicles, mostly in a Traxxas Slash. Its even been used for test runs in a Traxxas Summit.

Its still going strong, balances spot on, and balance is still correct at LVC. I don't know if there's any measurable power loss since it was new, because I don't have any other 2s packs to compare it to at the moment.

In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one of these packs again. Just be wary of the size, most of my cars have required slight mods to fit.

I have link it with HK sensored 120A esc with 3 Cell
It works fine in first 10 mins after that i have loose the reverse function
Few runs then the motor starts to kiking to much when startup
I have open it and i found the sensor is defective
Now it works without use the sensor but it is very hot
The quality is poor when i open it and puting back the screws the holes damaged easily
Now it is locked with one screw only
