Utilisé pour animer la direction d'un gros offshore rc, le GTY-552 semble fiable et précis. Il aurait mérité un boitier aluminium. Je conseil!

My standard for HD steering servos.

Aug 28, 2019

I've been using these for years now, never had a bad one. I have them in T-Maxx, Revo, Proline MT, Rustler, Slash, TRX4, and Axial SCX10-II. Compare to Savox SW1210SG.

Fast, but a lot of mechanical play after ca. 25 Flights in E-powered 50cc- Extra330SC

Nov 08, 2018

Servis are Fast, but after ca. 25 Flights in E-powered 50cc- Extra330SC, i noticed that the iGyro had problems to stabilize the plane in windy conditions and i often hat to do slight corrections in aerobatics. Was not very precise steering anymore.
Caus is mechanical play on all 3 servos, i had (2 on aileron, one on Rudder).
So the metal gears of this servo are not oo high quality level...
Problem now: cant find any spare gear sets for this servo in Hobbyking shop?

I have over 20 of these in various 75" ~ 88" Extreme Flight planes. I just tested the torque on this with a dedicated 8.4v power source from a castle bec pro.

Max torque was 411 oz with a 1 inch arm.

I also tested a Hitec 7955 and it was about 418 oz with a 1 in arm.

Since these wre mainly used by me with a bec at 8.4v - I was curious on it's torque and this test proved why these servos did not fail on the planes.

I have sold about 30 of these servos though my trackside shop. So far we have had 3 fail, 2 due to 'people' fitting too long a screw to hold the horn on, messing up the controls inside, rather than the screw provided. The 3rd somehow stripped a gear, but as it was the same person who had fitted a long screw, we just changed the gears over from one damaged one to the other!
We have tried many budget servos, and these I am happy to sell and use myself in my racing 1/8 Truggy.
In My opinion you have to pay twice as much, to get a better servo.
