wow..this must be Hk's most expensive heart breaker! 4x 55 mm fans..very hard to find decent replacements since GWS is bankrupt too.. this is a very nice PNP..flies extremely well... but fans are absolute rubbish... 4 engine runs..super smooth..no vibrations static... $300,- plus png... one flight..6 min.. 3 engines (fans) cracked in the support housing..very easy to fly, super scale characteristics, nasty stall if you push it ...but very nice plane..one flight..3 shot engines/fans...cant get replacements..very exy PSS or bin...shame on you HK...

What can I say. I'm a bit torn with this model. Looks great, flies great , has plenty of power and turns a lot of heads whenever it takes to the field. Quality of some parts is terrible. Nose gear broke after taxing no more than 2m on a grass field. Fixed the gear and reinforced with 3mm wire rod up inside the leg as far as it would go before you screw the servo arm on top, then broke after taxiing about 10m. Eventually I used a alloy edf adaptor in place of the plastic and used alloy gear. Otherwise you could install a retract on the front quite easily.

Great, got it in the air and it flies awesome on 2x4s 3000mah and balances well. Got about 5 flights in before the edfs started breaking mounts and exploding.

Wow,what can I say about this model? Well, firstly it is HUGE and looks AWESOME. Pros: It is a real 'show stopper' and its nearest rival the 'A380 Airbus' looks similar, (but this plane looks like it has balls). When I got this baby together and started her up, mate, I almost got a hard on, it sounds AMAZING. The pre-installed ESC's and wiring are of good quality and are easily identifiable. Cons: When you wind this baby up, you do get a bit of vibration from the EDF units due to balancing of the fans. The manual is useless if you a beginner and some guesswork is required. I took off 1 x Crown for 'Quality' as I had a dent in the front cabin window which must of occurred during packaging/handling as when it arrived there was nil damage to the box. Overall though, a great model at a great price, thanks HK.

Unfortunately we do not sell the nacelles Sir. The manufacturer did not provide us with spares on this model. Very sorry about this Sir.

Thanks for emailing support.

I do not recomend this purchase. this coupled with the fact that my other review mentioning this was removed.

This is a beautiful plane, but you need to be aware of some issues. The main issue is the ESC's are NOT very good so you MUST put in a seperate BEC (HXT_UBEC) with a receiver battery to prevent losing your radio when/if the ESC fails. I lost my plane when the ESC's overheated about 3 minutes into the maiden flight. I even added vents to the nose wheelwell and by the rear wheels to help cool them off, but it didn't do any good. When I lost the ESC's the plane spun in and smashed up the nose. After I carried it back the ESC's had time to cool off and they all worked again. I fly off grass and the C17 will not take off with those 18 wheels dragging. I uploaded pictures of the 2.25" HK wheels I used on 1/8" wire axels with 5"" CF rods as spacers. The nose wheels came from the HK Beaver kit and are about 2". I balanced it at 2 3/8" back from the wing LE and it acted nose heavy. The EDF rotors are poorly balanced and you MUST balance them before flight or you'll destroy a fan. They have great power on a 4S 3300

but I hear you only get 4 min flight time. I ordered another kit and plan to use two 3300's in parallel AND a BEC.

I received this model a few a few days ago and was VERY pleased with the overall package! NICE quality fit and finish! Very quick to put together - I had mine completely ready to go in about 2 or 3 hours. I LOVE that this model is set up to handle 4S battery packs, but be warned, my 4S 3300mAh 40 batteries are good for about 4 minutes, TOPS. The model requires every bit of 100 feet, or more to lift off. I'm going to order some 4400-5000 batteries, BUT, the battery box will have to be modified, as my SkyLipo 3300Mah batteries "barely" fit in the battery box installed in the model. The box may have to be moved back also, as the model is a bit nose heavy with the 3300's I've been flying the model with. So far, three flights on her and she is absolutely the show stopper at my local field. I like this model OVER my a380 Airbus - wish they'd put the fans and speed controllers from THIS model in the Airbus - that model is set up for 3S maximum. Upgrading that model to this models power system would be a FANTASTIC upgrade! Cheers!!! :)

Recieved my plane over a month ago and the kit in its self was great, however had 2 escs that was wired wrong from the factory that took out two motors for sure, have sent many photos to support and information now for 3 weeks and still nothing is settled. Its a shame, paid over 350 dollars for foam plane with bad electronics. Been a AMA member since 1984 and club president three times. If they make this right and I finally get to fly this bird I will update this review, however as I said right now my patience is being tested. Any one else that has encountered problems can e mail me at Fury11999@yahoo.com, Steven

over all nice plane, i am the one that posted the video, i think that it looks great and the first part of the flight was great and felt solid, the main issues are the cheep electronics, if you buy one replace the esc's with good ones prior to flight and it will be ok. mine caught fire, was going to have HK replace them but they said they do not covet fire dammage, was going to take it further but had a bad battery and they would not even cover the 11.00 battery under warenty, so i decided not to buy from them any more as i have spent about 1500.00 in the last 2 months and they would not help me with a 11.00 battery, so if you buy from HK be ready there is no customer support, if you buy it it is yours.

hello every one... i have had this aircraft for two flights.. all fan units were balanced and checked. NOW i have 3 of 4 motor units held on by one single strut due to massive vibrations that i dont know what caused it... i have read other blogs and they are having the same problem... for the price of the aircraft, its not worth the 2 flights i had.. H.K need too improve the quality of this very beautiful aircraft.. To get my model working again i need 4 fan units(complete) and two new wing sections. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TOO HACK AT MY OWN MODEL AFTER TWO FLIGHTS DUE TOO A DESIGN FAULT.
