I used to wait for RTF planes to have a servo fail before replacing it. I purchased a few slightly more expensive servos and now install them before the plane gets maidened. Check out Utube and see how many guys lose their plane on a maiden due to bad servos. The peace of mind is worth the little extra cost.

Seems rugged and fairly strongly built for it's weight. Mine were very quiet in operation but perhaps I got lucky? They are not super strong so I wouldn't use them for very heavy or large surfaces. Delivered in a nice box with the servo seated in the middle unlike many others that is in a plastic bag or tossed in a box.



Centers well for my applications and farily rapid.

First time i buy some thing from hobbyking and it doesn't work out of the box.

I plugged the servo on my hk-450 to the gyro HK401b and it didnt work. all my system went crazy. replaced the servo with a gws hpx very good servo work very good with the gyro.

Great little servos! Maybe a bit noisy, but excellent centering and resolution. Using 4 of them on 300g 3D foamie and have never had to re-trim since the maiden flight. Very quick and reasonably strong. All at a bargain price. Will definitely buy more for my next small foamie. Cheers!

I have the 9 gram Vigor servo too. These are lighter and faster than the 9 gram. Avoid impact to these servos, because the gears can strip.

Received the servos in good, working order. They seems strong and accurate and I am installing them in a Slow Stick, and while being very light, they seem to have plenty of authority in moving the control surfaces, though I admit to not having maidened the plane yet.



My concern is that I have noticed they are very smooth in one direction throughout the range, and are a little..grainy & grabby in the other direction. they both are like this and are like this whether connected to the control rods, or not, so I am assuming it is something having to do with the servos themselves. Hopefully it is a break-in issue and they will smooth out, otherwise I don't know that I could recommend them for something that requires precision or smoothness.



If they do smooth out I will be happy to append this review.

What takes so long for these orders to be shipped? Can anyone tell me how to speed up this process? I placed my order on Tuesday and as of Friday night my order is still in "processing" mode! The only way that I have been able to speed things up is to call and hope that someone will answer the phone. Customer Service is poor at best!
