This wooden transmitter tray is constructed from light ply and aluminium. It will easily accommodate most standard size air transmitters on the market today. It has an opening in the back to allow for fit of transmitters that have carrying handles, and even offers a mounting plate for accessories such as LCD screen, telemetry receiver and more! This makes for a great FPV tray as you can easily mount your display screen directly above your transmitter.

This radio tray is shipped in flat pack form, so it will require assembly. All hardware is included in the box and assembly is a breeze. An adjustable neck strap is also included.

Tray Inner Dimensions: 190x165x55mm (MAX transmitter size)
Tray Outer Dimensions: 266x240x62mm

Looks ok but will not fit my Spektrum radios with the FPV bracket attached.
Where to attach the neck strap? No hardware or pictures to show this

Very nice tray: Easy to assemble and require very little modifications to fit a CX-20/Quanum Nova transmitter.
I would suggest, to give it a couple hands of sanding sealer and a couple of hands of acrylic spray paint, before assembly. This way, if you need to stick doble sided tape or velcro yo it, it will be more easy and the tray will look cooler :-)

This is a cheap but great alternative to those $200plus trays. I would recommend that you ether paint/treat the wood or use a vinyl wrap to cover the wood.

OMG love this tray, total build time took me about 2 hours for a 9xr. Trimming, sanding, fitting of monitor, and application of vinyl carbon fiber. Of note you have to move the monitor tray forward, make new holes, and also trim the monitor tray to accomodate the 9xr. Full use of all switches and knobs. Looks a lot more expensive than a 10 dollar piece of wood (pictures in files section under 9xrCarbonFiber). Thanks HobbyKing!!!

Almost perfect for my application. I have a Taranis X9Dplus and fly with an APM based flight controller. I sometimes want to connect the telemetry transceiver to my mobile phone, and have it in easy access. The taranis is a bit bigger than this tray was designed for, and access to the pots on the side would be hard, but rather than modify the case to make it fit, I prefer securing the the X9Dplus in this case with some velcro straps so that I can easily change setup. I use rubber bands to secure my mobile phone and the telemetry radio to the platform above. The OpenLRS module fits underneath fine, even with a dipole antenna attached.

I received mine and it looked like it had been soaked in seawater. The plywood is all warped, delaminating in some places. It is broken in a few places as well. I will probably have to cut all new plywood pieces (probably I will make them out of acrylic) and just use the hardware that came with it. I am very dissapointed in this product.

Very confused product.
The plywood has a face veneer that is extremely thin and will swell and peel at the slightest touch of moisture. The back face veneer is packing crate rough grade. The cutting of the plywood is nice and precise. Metal hardware is good quality up to the two FPV which are a bit crude. Size is confused. The FPV add on will only fit when using my antique Futaba FP-T4LG TX. Hobbyking HK-T6A, Turnigy 9X and 9XR TX's will not fit inside the tray with the FPV mount fitted. The supplied strap is totally wrong. The tray is correct in having the four pairs of cut slots, one pair at each corner... transmitter trays are intended to be supported by a four point strap system (I still have my old Kraft TX tray from the '70s... I used that a lot around Sydney... ice cream jokes aside). So.. this tray needs a good coating of ply sealer finish before use. It needs a proper strap system. The FPV mouint will only fit with small transmitters; so is probably of no use to most users. There are signs that this was once a good design, but that plot has been lost.
