This is a very good looking Quad. It definitively turns heads when you break it out. There is plenty of room inside the body to accommodate all kinds of electronics. The multistar Elite 2216 920KV works very well on a 4S setup. The motor covers look great but make it difficult to tighten up the props. Also the 2216 needs spacers. I went without the top covers which also improved the airflow to the motors. This frame needs a lot of work to get it to fly well. The legs are flimsy and carbon rods through both legs are almost required to stiffen the frame. Otherwise you will get unwanted flex and oscillations. The canopy holding mechanism is useless. I glued a few magnets in the corners to hold it in place and it worked great. Overall it is a nice quad and looks awesome. However, it is not a beginner build.

I bought this kit thinking "what a great design"... well, how disappointing. It's flimsy, poor quality, not very strong at all. The landing cups cracked almost immediately when trying to put them on. The motor mounts are NOT even drilled and the indentations aren't even standard sizes so you have to drill your own holes and be careful to make sure they are correctly centered to match your motors... Rubbish... Sort it out Hobby King...

Dont know why, but this Frame becomes more cheap as in the past.

Did I say dont know why? Sorry, now I know!

Rusty screw nuts
Spikes on the glass fibre
not Fitting parts
unfinished parts
missing glue on the Wooden parts

If possible, I will uploade some Pictures (files)

Setup with this frame :
NTP propdrive 28-30S 800 kv - ESC turnigy plush 30A- 10x4.5 SF propeller - 3S 2200 60C lipo. Beautiful frame but weight is really important and need responsive attitude on the sticks. However it's fair in flight this siez gives really impressive machine. You must work to adjust the cover on the top of the frame(use some tape, or magnets, ...) as the original system doesn't lock it. I added T-Rex 700 landing skid on the bottom to preserve pods on arms for landings. In flight the show is here and you can say a little Waoww !

specs are way off on this set up, I ordered the biggest of everything based off the recommended electronics and it just will not work with this frame if I want to keep the motor covers. If you get this frame, get some 42-30 or bigger motors if you want your props to actually extend out and clear those. other than bad spec listing, this thing looks insane and is a huge frame for the motor layout. cant wait to get the right electronics and do it right.

Sehr geil. Ausstattung:i86 Control Board, QBrain 20A Regler, 3s 2200mah Akku, Turnigy 28xx 1100KV Motoren und ein wenig Beleuchtung.

...Continued
connectors, it can get tight using this board)
Zippy Compact 4000mah 25C 3S, (mayy be pushing the C rating, but we'll see)
Roadside Gas Station 90-degree adapter for Micro-USB, (it can be a pain to disconnect the battery tray to get to the MWC, trust me on this)

Great quality kit for the price. The finish is a metallic black that pictures don't do justice. Fishing wires was a breeze, and I finished the build (slowly over a week) without any damage to the finish or structure, a testament to the material quality. The CG was clearly marked, with standard 45x45mm mounting points for the FC and distribution board.

I think HK listened to the masses, as my bird was properly glued together from the factory, where all the wood structure meets fiber, there's a solid chunky bead, glob, or dollop of.. Epoxy? Anyways, I felt zero need to reinforce the common complaint zones. Where I do feel strength is lacking is in the tail wing, when my flight ready quad is put on the deck, the wing flexes a little, sagging like that car that's about to be traded in. My build isn't significantly heavier than what's recommended, so once again we'll see how they hold up. In flight, the flex is tolerable, (see above about giant cumbersome quad and flying slow)

GPS had no issue picking up 7 sats, under the battery tray with the FC, in my house, during a storm. You read it here folks, GPS hear
