This is the X-Cam X100B 2-axis brushless camera gimbal for use with the GoPRO series cameras. This camera gimbal is "Plug and Play" with the stabilization control board pre-installed and setup. With this system, you can simply mount the gimbal to your model, install the camera, calibrate the sensors (easy process explained in the user manual) and you're ready to go!
Constructed almost entirely of carbon fiber, this gimbal is both lightweight and strong. The brushless motors, stabilization control board and wire leads are all preinstalled. It features rubber dampened mounts for mounting to a standard twin-rail gimbal mount on your multi-rotor frame.

I received my X Cam yesterday and have spent today fitting it to my Quad.
Once fitted I added the camera and balanced it and the Gimbal worked perfectly first time. I have yet to fly it with the gopro, but I did try the Quad with the extra weight to gauge battery life etc, so next fine day we fly.Got the gymbal yesterday (BTW: 5 days from global warehouse in HK to Milan, Italy. 30 days stuck in customs, than 10 days from Milan to Rome: there HAS got to be a better, faster way)
Mounted it on the X580 frame in 15min flat (perfect fit).
I power it with it's own 3S 25C LiPo and use it with a Hero2
Much lighter and much better built than I gathered from the images.
I downloaded the PDF manual, but good thing it works straight out of the box, cause the manual is useless and poorly translated.
This is my first impression view of the gimbal. Out of the box it looks well constructed and engineered. Lots of carbon fiber and although it does have some weight to it this should not pose an issue to most quads. I have already connected a battery to it and I must say that the movement is very smooth.
My only potential issue would be mounting it as it seems to be made for a specific type of multicopter, I will post more on this later.
I would also say it looks to be good to use as a hand gimbal if you want to take some smooth action shots.This gimbal is great for the price. HOWEVER, it is STRONGLY recommended to buy a BEC. And, get JST terminals to connect the BEC to gimbal. I also used JST to connect the BEC to my power supply.This gimbal is a perfect match for the AQ600 quad frame:
It's also super-easy to get going. No firmware flashing or configuration is needed, just plug & play, as advertised. The instructions could be better, however, being as easy to setup as it is, they're adequate.
