The X140Bl is custom built for the Sony NEX5 series of cameras with longer lenses. For those new to aerial photography and cinematography, the Sony NEX5 packs a full size sensor that is normally reserved for bulky and heavy DSLR cameras into a small and light mid-size camera body. Unlike small action-cam’s the NEX5 still retains interchangeable lenses and autofocus making it the go-to camera for professionals doing aerial cinematography.
The X140Bl was designed from the ground up for one thing… stabilizing and protecting the NEX5. The precision cut and Finished CNC Aluminum and Carbon parts are engineered to be light and strong. The minimalist design is optimized for the size and shape of both the NEX5 and the lifting Multi-Rotor. The included custom brushless motors and controller are matched and pre-tuned perfectly out of the box.
X-Cam has also included the HDMI to AV signal converter transfer card that plugs into the side of the NEX5 and provides a live view out. The live view out can be used with a video transmitter for FPV flying or monitor out for viewing what the camera is seeing on the ground.
