I have run this motor in one of my Troopers for a while now. Its efficient on 2s lipo's. The 4 pole power is amazing. Way more than needed for off road, but it's there when you want it. Plenty of grunt down low and top end is FAST on stock Trooper gearing, which has held up well. I pulled all 3 diffs out last week to upgrade from grease to diff oil and saw minimal wear. Went with 5k, 7,k, 3k in front, center, rear, respectively. I have to be careful with my throttle input to keep it on the track. I'd recommend a good 2s lipo with a c rating of at least 40c and 5000mah to supply enough juice for this motor. 120a x-car esc is running good. For $18 its a steal if they ever get them back in stock.

Ran this motor exactly 1 time for no longer than 15 minutes at a local track made for 1/10 cars. I was running this motor in a slash 4x4 with stock gearing. Was running fine until it slowed way down, put on work bench and the tires would not spin. Backed motor off spur gear and wheels spun. Pulled motor to inspect and found it siezed. Due to this motor being shipped from China and it being only $20 I decided to take in apart. Magnet debonded from the rotor. Motor temp was never above 130F. Maybe I just got a bad one but I would not recommend this motor for slash owners.

Bought to replace the turnigy 7900kv motor. This one is quiet, smoother and much more powerful. It's longer internally than the sensored 7900. Runs much cooler too and is actually a much better motor. Can be geared to be just as fast as the 7900kv, which is a very hot motor even at a 16T pinion. This one runs a 23T no problem and can go higher.

nice motor but i think S3674-2370 Brushless Inrunner (2370kv) is a better motor and is also cheaper and has twice as much power.I own both the motors and the S3674-2370 Brushless Inrunner (2370kv) just beats this baby well like a baby.i use a hk 100a esc.
