Using this on a Hot Bodies 1/8 scale truggy the D8T-e. The motor becomes very hot even on a 13 tooth pinion but has a very low top speed on that gearing even on 6s. On a 17 tooth running 6s or 19 tooth pinion running 4s it is as hot, but at least feels like it has some top end power. Measuring temps around 160-165f no matter what gearing I use, and that is too hot. This motor is clearly very inefficient.

The initial reviews above were good but then this motor went out-of-stock and I have been waiting for it to come back. When it came back in-stock, I bought one. I am very disappointed with this motor. In comparison to Castle, Tekin, and Trackstart motors that I have testing in the same setup (1/8 Truggy), this motor cannot even come close. On 6s it does not have the power to even half of the smaller 4068 size 2350kv trackstar motor that I have, forget about the other name brands. It does not have the power, and it gets so very hot. Very disappointing for sure. I was wrong in hoping that USD 35-40 motor may come close to 50-60 USD motor. Don't by this motor and waste your money. -Nabil.

Have this motor in a losi 8ight on 6s. Works great, crazy fast. Still going strong. Don't waste your money on those other high priced motors! Great value! Equivilent to a leopard!

To HK: This is not the motor you used to sell ! HK stop changing the specs and lowering the quality of motors. After my last measurements, I decided to test again the old 1600kv version and the new 1500KV version. Guess what! Completely different motor! I did again all basic measurements and the new motor is FAR...less efficient from the old one. Again, old draws 86W at 22.6V and 36K rpm and gets gradually warm under no load, in 15 secs. New draws 132W at 22.6V and 32K rpm and gets warm within 5 secs! How is this possible? New version has higher impedance and but draws more amps!? Final words, new motor is far inferior in all ways, from old version. Very disapointed. I bought a few of them and have lower thrust, higher temp and less flight time. What a deal!:(

Bought another three of them. They are still a great deal but specs have changed a bit. First its a 1500kv instead of 1600KV. Has many more mounting holes but on an an 90deg configuration. That maybe be a problem with an edf such as the 120mm 4 blade changesun. Could not secure the motor with two screws only. Finally some test data: 130W at 23V. There is an increase in no-load current compared to the 1600KV old version.

I got this motor for my vanquish boat,i now use XK4074-2000kv and hoping to get more power from this since it can withstand more lipo's, i just got it in the mail, i am impressed with it size, resistance to move the hub but i wish it can with 5.5mm instead of 3.5mm since i am planning to use it with 6 cells.

this engine is the price / performance is very good 4 pole motor in a separate beauty 6S 82 cm mono does not cause damage to the batteries, the temperature 24 degrees and 87 km / h speed did. There is a finding of a strange power 6S in another expensive 2330W 3500W power generating engines in 9S, 4082 turnigy 1500 kv motor engine and produces power at a cheaper price than 2660W 6S. This indicates that a high-quality engine.
