They are made from a nylon composite material which can withstand high temperatures and have gold plated spring connectors. The gold plated connectors are placed in the mold to become an integral part of the connector when it is formed.

The XT60 ensures a solid high-amp connection, perfect for applications up to and beyond a constant 60amps. Hobbyking include the XT60 on most of their own brand batteries up to 3000mAh in capacity. The XT60 has been designed by hexTronik to be a more reliable and a better quality connection than most other proprietary connectors. Awesome plugs, the plastic/nylon has a high melting point so you can solder without fear of distorting the insulating case.
Bullets are good and easy to solder and mate with opposite part easily.

They work great but are only a little bit hard to disassemble. Well at least it's better than if they were unable to keep the connection.
