I just maidened mine, as expected, it flies like a cub, nice, forgiving. Some cosmetic shipping dings in the fuselage and wing, so it goes. The door hinges were completely misaligned, easy fix. Set some down elevator for when you engage the flaps, it's light and noses up fast. Flies very slow with the flaps and takes off in about 60 cm. Don't bother with the springs and plastic shrouds for the landing gear, they aren't necessary and are flimsy and broke with OK landings in a gravel lot. The wing braces keep things solid and rigid. I had the Wilga and the wings collapsed pulling out of a dive, not likely on this one. Will be my next FPV platform for calmer days.

Received my order Jul 03rd. Opened package inspected contents and discovered the propeller's were missing. It is now Jul. 14th. And still haven't gotten positive information from HK on when the props will be sent to me. HK is stalling the replacement process.
I have been an RC modeler for a long time replacing the prop is not a problem. I want the correct propellers because they should have come with the kit I purchased.
And HK should send them to me. Order # 11843083.

I bought this because I wanted a cheap scale STOL plane for the backyard. I gotta say I am extremely happy I got this! Ordered Monday morning and it was delivered up here to WA on Tuesday afternoon....nothing to complain about there.
Only big issue I had was the o-ring prop mount. No matter how I installed it, I got massive vibrations when I throttled up. I eventually gave up and put on a 3mm prop adapter with a 7X5e APC prop and it works fine. Plenty of power on a 2S 1000mah pack and I can slow it down very nice with full flaps. I recommend replacing the flap servo arm with something twice as large in order to get more than 30 degrees of flap travel.

Wow GREAT Little airplane. Rugged as a tank but still light weight. Got one for me and one for a friend who is still a beginner. You can fly this thing just about anywhere. It's like the Russian Piper Cub. A Cubski!

Very easy to assemble, all electronic components are pre-installed with nice long wires making it easy to plug in the receiver.
Whilst the engine mount is a clever design, the engine was not centred out of the box, very easy to adjust though. I also needed to cut a few mm out of the 'engine hole' in the cowling as the prop adapter screws were rubbing.
The props would not fit on the adapter at first, I needed to bore out the props a little bit, a 5mm drill bit was enough in my case.
After nearly wiping out on maiden, I found I needed a lot more weight in the nose even though the CoG felt good pre-flight. I ended up just using a 2200mah Zippy Compact battery as far forward as possible and this was perfect and gave me over 10 minutes of flight time.
Once balanced and trimmed by a more experienced pilot I would recommend this a good first plane. Great control at low speed and decent speed and good manoeuvrability on full throttle.

Mine arrived quickly and without damage,it was very easy to assemble. It fly's brilliantly and is really strong,i found this out after i nosed in,only the landing gear spats came off,the spring loaded motor mount works well.I also re enforced the cowl with loads of gaffa tape, this also helps getting the cg right. It does get blown about a little but at this weight its only to be expected. All in all i really rate this little Yak and heartily recommend it.
