    Product Description

    YEP ESC series offers a super smooth linear throttle response making them exceptional fixed wing and helicopter ESCs.  The features offered in this ESC are only matched by the most expensive European brands at a fraction of the cost. The super smooth soft start, along with its ultra high-resolution throttle response puts this ESC in a class of its own!

     

    YEP ESCs are built with the highest quality components to ensure true-to-rating current handling and high-efficiency operation. Although quality is a tagline mentioned by many manufacturers you'll notice the difference the moment you remove the YEP ESC from the box.

     

    All YEP ESCs can be programmed via optional programming card or by transmitter stick inputs.

    • Low voltage cut-off can be disabled 
    • Variable cut-off voltage / cell   
    • Active free-wheeling circuit allows for unlimited "partial load" capability
    • LED status display 
    • Adjustable motor timing from 0° to 30° 
    • Blocked rotation protection (senses a jammed motor and stops motor rotation) 
    • Motor reversing from ESC (no need to change ESC/motor wires)
    • Over-temperature protection and overload alarm 
    • Anti sparking circuit: reduces connection sparks (for HV ESC)
    • Throttle signal loss protection. If the signal is lost for 3 seconds, the power will automatically cut-off. 
    • Safe power-on. (Motor will not start until throttle is returned to lowest position)

    YEP 120A LV w SBEC

    I've bought 5 of these so far (2 are in T-Rex 600 Heli clones, one in a Carbon Z Cub, and 2 are spares - for my next projects). The very first one I setup is still going strong with over 150+ flight hours in a 600 sized helicopter - and the on-board SBEC has kept the 4 digital heli servos powered without any problems. I replaced the (2013 Version1) Cub's OEM unit after too many suspicious loss-of-control/loss-of-power events. It has been flying rock-steady since the change. I bought the suggested programming card and found it was easy to setup the ESC after watching a couple of You Tube Videos. So far all my applications are using 6S battery packs. You will need to solder your own power connectors and motor leads. Happy Flying!

    I used these (2) to power an FMS 2100kv EDF motor in the Freewing F-14 with Roaring Top 6250 mah 6S batteries. They have performed 1st rate right out of the box, I did purchase the programming card but it was not needed. So far I have about 20 flights of 3.5 minutes a piece and couldn’t be happier… I also liked the fact that they came with internal BEC’s, makes connecting a lot easier… I used these in place of the 85 AMP speed controllers that came with the original motors. The YEP 120 AMP speed controllers were slightly smaller in size but were a little thicker than the 85 Amp ESC.. The weight difference was negligible….. I plan on purchasing more in the future….. the only negative would be the shipping time, but these days everything takes longer to ship….. cheers!

    BEC is very stable. Everything does what it should do. Temperature stays in a low range accordingly to Power consumption. Buffer accu kann set parallel to BEC w/o additional diodes. Motor will not run w/o Power accu. => Very well.

    This ESC is recommendable. Gives lots of power and can handle much more than 120 A. Not to mention the price. No Esc on the market can beat it.
