The Zeus 2500-V is a 100% composite performance glider that is of the design and build quality of the European manufacturers at a Hobby King price. This is a high performance thermal glider is designed for anyone from the hard core competitor to the sunday flyer that simply wants the best. Also due to the high performance and aerodynamically clean design, it makes a wonderful slope model.
It would be fair to say that this is not a beginners model from a build point of view, although not difficult to assemble, some previous experience of building composite models is desirable. As the airframe is fully painted in the mold, there is no real construction to speak of other than mounting control horns and servos. The Zeus 2500-V is practical as you would expect for a glider of this size & quality. It features a 2-piece plug-in wing supported by a beefy carbon composite joiner as well as a removeable V-tail halves for super easy transport and storage.
Hollow molded in CNC generated molds from both glassfiber and carbon fiber, the Zeus 2500-V is constructed to the highest standards of fit and finish. There is also plenty of carbon reinforcing throughout the airframe in key stress areas so it can handle those hard winch launches and final zoom with ease. All control surfaces are live hinged and have their slot wipers pre-installed, flap control horns are top mounted under nice moulded fairings, etc, it has lots of features that leave you in no doubt the Zeus 2500-V was designed with the discerning glider pilot in mind.

Okay guys this is how it performs, fantastic, for the price you get a top quality well packaged kit,but absolutely nothing else! No instructions, not even a CG indication, so your on you're own. I complain to HK but no replies. Well once you have worked out how to drive the split aileron and elevator extensions the rest is pretty standard. Just cut off the nose and add a Turnigy glider drive 900kv and a 11x6 prop. She flies straight out of the hand but watch those aileron throws - minimal. Flaps work well in light thermals about 2pcnt and give it the max for crow braking, she just floats in. To sum, up great machine shame about the lack of info.This is a great model, superb moulding and production, however there is one big flaw, no instructions and even worse no indication of cg. Come on HK at least put in a basic info sheet its not too much to ask! Converting it to electric with a Turnigy glider drive up front.Nach einigen Flgen habe ich den Schwerpunkt auf 120mm CG 120mm
Fr Elekrifizierung sollte man einen leichten Antrieb verwenden,sonst kommt man mit dem Schwerpunkt nicht hin.

Querruder und Wlbklappenlippen gingen schwer und mussten etwas beigeschliffen werdenElectro:no problem:fuselage is big enough
Turnigy Gliderdrive dia 39mm back front smaller about 33mm (840kv,960kv,1120kv,1400kv) is no problem for making it electro
with a 38mm spinner
