These cells have tabs at opposite ends, giving better internal resistance but making the pack look untidy and lumpy.
Dont be put off by the lumpy appearance of this pack. The Zippy-k series are the same cells as the Loong-Max.

ZIPPY-K 4300mAh 3S1P

Nov 14, 2007

These are great cells. Bought two and run them in series as 6S1P for my stock E550 heli.

It gave me a flight time of 8mins with simple circuits flying and the battery is warm only.

Cheap and good.

ZIPPY-K 4300mAh - great batter

Nov 14, 2007

Good performer Voltage doesn't drop off unlike lower capacity batteries.

Turnigy 35-36C 1100kv with APC 10x5E draws 28A, 10x7E 34A and voltage stable at slightly over 12V.

By comparison Zippy 2200 15C draws 24A with 10x5E on same setup, as voltage drops off and so do revs/thrust.

Wires are heavy gauge and also good length on balance plug.

ZIPPY-K 4300mAh

Nov 14, 2007

ZIPPY-K 4300mAh 3S1P 20-30C

Nov 14, 2007

Bought 4 Zippy-K 3s 4300mAh 20C LiPO packs for my Traxxas E-Revo and just did some testing on 2 of the packs so far: Zippy packs are quite square around the edges so their measurements are very accurate and their construction appears to be quite high quality, especially for such a great price. E-Revos have a relatively small battery compartment but these fit fine with about 4mm thickness to spare. For the first tests I ran stock Titan 550 motors and stock ESC with 2 7-cell NiMH 4200mAh packs @16.8V ran 19MPH for 14mins at the local large dirt track and batteries measured a temp of 141 deg F. 2 Zippy 3s 4300mAh 20C packs @ only 11.1V hit 24MPH and ran for 18mins and only measured 92 deg F. I then changed to a Mamba Monster ESC with a Neu 1515-1Ys 2200kV brushless motor while I charged both sets of packs on my Hyperion Duo dual battery pack charger/balancer in "Dual Battery Balance Mode" balancing each pack's cells to equal voltage, as well as both packs to each other. The 2 7-cell 4200mAh NiMH packs took about 41850mAh average charge. The 2 Zippy 4300mAh packs took 4330mAh average charge. After the ESC change, motor change, and charging, the 2 7-cell NiMH 4200mAh packs ran at 25 MPH for 15mins and got to 168 deg F. OUCH! The Zippy 3s packs hit 34 MPH and ran for 22mins at only 102 deg F! The conclusion is these Zippy-K 4300mAh 20C packs hold slightly more than the correct amount of charge and their 20C rating seems more like 25C performance since the packs didn't have as high
