18-22AWG Sealed Solder Connectors with Waterproof Heatshrink Sleeve (20pcs)
It is always a problem trying to get a neat joint when trying to butt together 2 wires, not anymore. This is an incredibly simple way to make butt joints between 2 wires that is strong, permanent and ends up with a waterproof, insulated sleeve all in one go.
These connectors consist of a low temperature, pre-fluxed solder ring insulated with an adhesive lined heatshrink tubing, no crimping is required. To install you strip your 2 wires back a few millimetres then slide the connector over one of the wires to be joined. Then intermingle the strands of the 2 wires to be joined, slide back over the connector until the solder ring is centered over the intermingled strands. Gentle heat the connector from the center out to shrink the heatshrink and to melt the solder ring. Leave the joint to cool for a few seconds and it's job done, what could be simpler. A gas powered soldering iron with blow torch head or a digital heat gun is perfect for making these joints (see related items).
These connectors comply with the relevant European Standards, are easily identified using a color code system and the Polyolefin heatshrink gives superior pullout strength. Perfect for use by the hobbyist and in marine, automobile, motorcycle and many other outdoor applications.
