Great cheap receiver, only 4 channels but does the job well

Would NOT recommend to buy this.

Pros:
-Its cheap and light-weight
-Even with the circular polarized antennas here from hobbyking (10$), range is actually good. Went up to 1km and it worked well.
-Video quality is adequate for that price

Cons:
-Vibrations (even very little vibrations!) will cause instant flickering. See the video at 2:36, this is a MPX Cargo with 4 motors at full throttle. If you go full throttle at your brushless motors they will also emit a high frequency that is likely to disturb this video TX, as seen in the video. Thus, flickering is inevitable with this Video TX as you can not avoid full throttle or at least some vibrations. This is the ONLY video TX out of 4 that had problems in that plane!!!
-It gets as hot as my 1000mW Lawmate
-The maximal output of this Video TX is NOT 500mW but 112mW, as some people expected:

Thus, a whole lot of energy is transformed into heat.


Seriously, don't spend the money on this. Go for a Lawmate, its just a few dollars more! I had this in my Quad and in my Cargo, its been doing the job up to some point and because it was cheap, I didn't complain, but since I'm us

The supplied antenna was broken. No problem, since I planned to use a cloverleaf. The VTx works OK, but the range was not what I expected from 500 mW. And when measuring it with the ImmersionRC RF-meter I got the answer: this VTx is 250 mW when measured.

So, Hobbyking: sell this one as a cheap 250 mW VTx instead of claiming that it is 500 mW.

It doesn't work at 8V, it's over-heating on a 3s lipo and it doesn't gives more range than a 100mW, at least it's cheap.

For me this VTX work very good, ( i have lawmate 2.4ghz but not work good), simply
change antenna with a circular antenna from HK and add a Resistor 100 Ohm parallell
ground to video signal .

not good the colors are very bad and you can't plug it on the master battery!!
how can i do for have a good colors with? please!!
with filter on video wire or with 12Vubec?

Just done a 20 Kms round trip 10 Kms there and 10 Kms back at 300-500m Alt using home made clover leaf antenna on TX and home made Circularly Polarized Helical antenna 8.5 dbi for the RX. video signal was 9/10 still good at 10 Kms
I highly recommend to anyone who will fly 10 Kms or under with these antennas.

It's not delivering the video quality you can use for FPV .

It's disappointing in every way .

The transmitters/receiver combo deliver for $49 are better and give better result.
