So far, so good

It binds OK with my Hitec Flash 7 transmitter and works with my old Ridge Runt slope soarer.

Compact and effective

Jul 03, 2018

I have bound it to my Hitec Flash 7 Tx and it is compatible. It is currently installed in a small slope soarer which I have flown off the local hills - the range is fine for this purpose.
Six channel Hitec-compatible receivers are currently available on the internet for £10, but if you need a really small Rx with standard servo ports then this is ideal.

I have several of these receivers and have bound them to my Hitec Aurora9 and Flash7 transmitters. I have flown them in my Slow Stick and turned it into a little dot in the sky with never a problem with range or brounouts.

This is a really bad product, I asked for a replacement as the first one did not work (see my earlier review) I got the replacement, was able to bind with my TX (spectra module). However it would loose signal intermittently. I tried everything I could read in the net, updated software of my TX, bind it on different modes, kept it on for so many minutes but with the same results. Then I bought 2 original Hitec Minima (blue) RX and under similar conditions both hitec worked flawlessly. Tried it again with this RX and still will loose signal between 5 to 30 seconds. I've wasted so much time with this thing, don't make the same mistake I did.

After successful binding with my TX, signal/LED will get lost/turn off after a few seconds or when it gets any kind of vibration. So when you rev up the motor, the signal will go off as the motor revs. Shipped it back to HK and asked for a replacement.

Neat little Rx. I'm using it on a Gaui X3 with a microbeast FBL unit. The connection is PPM. It's just like using a satellite on a Spektrum Rx, as there is just a single lead. All works well, but the Rx does need to be bound with the Tx a good couple of meters away and the Rx will flood if you get within about a meter of the heli, causing the servos to move erratically. Great value, nicely made and well deserving of 5 stars. P.S. a big thanks to Simon for making this possible. I hope we see some telemetry versions in the future. :)

Recieved 3 of these 4channel minima compatibles, quality just fine as the other versions. Had no trouble at all with binding, these are perfect for smaller aircrafts but with wider range than the smaller 5 channel types. These come in a plastic bag with a "Hitec V8R4" label and includes a manual and 2 jumpers. Very happy with these items, made 2 photo's that I'll upload to the files tab. Thanks Simon, FrSky and Hobbyking !
