I can confirm mine do not look like that picture, silver plated possibly nickel plated as they are slightly magnetic (and nickel is magnetic same as iron). Quality looks ok, they are not the el-chepo toy grade. They looks reasonable quality and for price they are a good buy.
It does appear to be some kind of alloy, could be a high grade alluminium, which is ok if they are. I think they will be ok and last a while. Others that have posted here are being a bit harsh. But its is misleading when HK , post pictures not matching the product. My advise is buy one and try , they are not expensive, and for 2$ they are worth it.

Shame Hobbyking! Anodized aluminum, NOT hardened steel. Guessing this one will last for a little while, will have to go to lhs for a real one.

It says hardened steel, but in reality, its only aluminum! Buyers beware. Hobbyking REFUSED to refund me due to THEIR error. They explicitly insist that it is steel.
