I must say I am very impressed with this 50 dollar system. I received the system approx. one week after placing the order with HK (I live in Maryland-USA). The parts were package professionally and were damaged free. They must have fixed the issue with the camera plug because mine worked without having the reverse the plug. The image is clear. I did have to purchase a M tip connector (radio shack- $7) for the receiver which I made my own harness that connects to a 2200 mah 3S battery. If you are looking for a FPV system to start out with and don't want to spend a lot of money, don't be afraid to purchase this system.

I received this item a couple of days ago. I was very excited and couldn't wait to get started with it. I was going to place it on my FT Versa Wing. I opened the box and low and behold was I unpleasantly surprised! The items were packed in the box without any wrapping. They were all just loose and open! The items were left to tumble around freely all the way from China to Texas, USA. I powered both units up, only the receiver indicated it was receiving power. The transmitter simply became hot. I plugged it in to various devices around my house (e.g. my televisions, and my portable monitor) no signal.

The transmitter appeared to have been pried open with a blunt object in a botched attempt to repair it prior to shipping it. The whole casing was misaligned and in horrible shape. The outside of the silver casing had scratches and marks indicating either previous use, or just poor manufacturing.

I believe Hobby King knew that they had sent me a bad device, but they simply didn't care.

Is your company that hungry for money?

If I were a company I would be very embarrassed to have to sent a customer such a disgraceful item. Get your act together Hobby King or you want be "King" for very long. Personally if you don't have to order from this poorly managed company don't.

Has been working good so far, after about a month of use. I used it with a self made cloverleaf antennas. I have been able to fly behind a house without loosing signal.

I had to reverse the plastic housing of the camera connector since the polarity was reversed, If I haven't look at it when I had installed, probably I would have everything burnt.

The antennas are for 2.4ghz system:( makes for poor signal.Hobbyking you need to make sure your "kits" are at least compatible with themselves . Put 900mhz antennas and you've got a decent short range fpv system. As is the picture gets fuzzy for no aperant reason

The Good:
1) 1/3 CCD camera works well with nice picture, even on 50" TV.
2) Receiver seems to work well
3) Low Cost

The Bad:
1) The transmitter...
1) No instruction on anything
2) Lots of interference, no matter how much i adjust the transmitters
fine tuning knobs.
3) As the transmitter warms up, the video quality goes down.

Bottom Line:
Good for a toy, but not much else.

I just ordered the 5.8GHz 200mW AV Tx and Rx kit. I plan on using the the camera from this kit. hope it is better.

I bought this to use on a remote inspection vehicle (on the ground). interference was too much to operate effectively.

Love this fpv system. Just be carefull when you connect the harness to the camera make sure the plug is set right. I had to switch the power and video signal wire. Do this before you try it so you don't burn out your camera

I purchased this 900Mhz 100mw TX/RX with NTSC camera system 2 weeks ago. I tried and tried every possible combination to get it to work and no luck. So I went to a friends house that has multiple TX/RX camera systems to mix and match to see which part was faulty. What I found out was that Hobbyking sent me a 900mhz transmitter with a 1.2Ghz receiver! Needless to say I am not very happy. It costs too much to ship back for a possible warranty replacement which might never come. I guess you roll the dice at these prices.
