Great leg with super smooth travel and a decent amount of throw distance. The spring bottoms out at approximately 9 pounds (4kg) of force and compresses about 1/2 inch (12mm) with around 3 pounds (1.3kg) of force. That should give you an idea of how much weight it can handle and impact it can absorb. I plan to use it on my 3.5kg mapper plane.

very nice unit. Well machined and can be adapted for single or twin wheel configuration.
Spring preload is just over 1kg,with full compression (travel 15mm) at 3.8kg. Spring easily changeable to achieve different rates.
Unit does not include any provision for damping, but this can be achieved with a high viscosity grease or with a specialised damping grease (eg Nye Lubricants)

Very nice quality strut! well machined, and nice smooth sprung movement. the spring may be a wee bit strong for my needs but maybe not, guess I will see when time come and everything is together. Looks easy enough to change the spring anyhow! Great product Hobbyking!

These oleos (PRODUCT ID: 344000006) fit these servoless retracts (PRODUCT ID: 225000018).
Both the oleas and the retracts are excellent for the price. I have them fitted in a 54" seafury. I was impatient and bought the twin axel veriety and I cut the axel down.
