Nice Struts - But Purchase Two Pairs at a Time

These are good struts for a 40 sized model. I put them on a Hobby King balsa Trainer Kit which I set up as a tail dragger. The aluminium is too soft though. They bent sideways the first time I did a ground loop while taxiing too fast. The model didn't even tip over. I bought 2 sets and fixed the problem by epoxying two struts together which results in a real cheap strong strut set.
So buy two set at a time and glue them together.

Excellent product! Use comfortably for models up to 2 Kg weight, and if a tail-dragger, up to 13" props. Hint - angle the fronts in slightly when installing to get an automatic toe-in for better tracking accuracy....see pic I have posted in files

I was pleasently surprised when these arrived in the post.They are of a very good quality aluminium which will stand up to a few hard landings.The fixing of them is very easy, a hardwood bearing of around 1 1/4 inches wide will fit perfectly and are fixed with three small screws(not supplied).For the price, worth every cent.

this product is great, it have 2 different axel holes (3 and 4mm I think) and thats a great idea. Also, they come in separate piece (the metal part and the blue plastic. so you can choose to use them in metal or blue color. Finally, great struts, great quality, very light, buy it!
