As with my other ASP engines, this is a good quality engine, easy to start and reliable in flight. Good value for money.

I got my asp 120fs 3 weeks ago and just got done with the plane and fired it up today. After I primed the carb by putting my finger on the muffler and turning it over 4 times it was time to put on the glow ignitor and it started on the third flip of the prop by hand. Idles at 2200-2400 rpm reliably. I have the OS four stroke glow plug and would highly recommend it. Fantastic motor and yes I would by another, maybe the 180fs. Installed my120 in the hanger9 P51. Awsome motor, Thanks HK

This is a powerful 4 stroke but wit this engine I prefer to use 1 size smaller proppeler than the recommended to achieve the desired RPM. 14x7 is recommended for 9600-9800 RPM

I purchased this engine to use in a TWM "Groovy" F3A. The engine starts & runs really well on the 15pcnt fuel that I use.

I originally had the engine mounted in an inverted position, which caused the engine to have trouble maintaining a smooth idle. Nothing to worry about as this is common when mounting an engine inverted. Try to keep it upright or to the side.

Seems to be well manufactured and everything goes together well. It pulls my plane along quite well, even though the plane is quite heavy.

I run a 14 X 10 prop and get 9,000 RPM. Very easy to tune if you follow the instructions in the Magnum instruction sheet.

Beware, don't run a 16 inch prop as the engine will have a violent backfire during throttle-up and/or full throttle which may result in damage. The backfire almost appears to present itself as a hydraulic lock, which had me looking for the cause for a while. Keep your props to 15 X 8 at the very most.

Overall, a fantastic engine for the cost. I've had this engine completely apart and the internal engineering looks quite impressive. Very well made and I would recommend this engine to anyone.

My FS-120 powers the HK Stinson Reliant with a Turningy 16x6 cherry wood prop. Made already about 15 flights of 20mins with it. Engine extremely fuel efficient. The 500cc tank is enough for over 20 minutes of flying. Extremely easy starting using the choke. 1 flip with the prop is most of the time enough. Thef2-120 turns the 16x6 prop with about 9000rpm. Enough for a 45degree steep climb with the Stinson. Great engine

I have put this engine on the HK Stinson Reliant: great match. Excellent power, with very low idle. Prop 16x6 Turningy Cherry Wood. Fuel. 5pcnt nitro, 15pcntKlotz, 5pcnt Castor. Engine starts a first flip every time. Flew it at 5 degC ambient, and 30 deg C ambient with no issues at all. Small minor point is that the plug is not well accessible with any kind of normal tooling/ plug adapter. Therefore a wire has been soldered to the glow plug for connection.

My first ASP engine from HK. Using it on a Stinson Reliant from HK. The engine is well build, and very easy starting (one flip with the stick) I am using an OS F plug and a 16x6 Turningy Cherry Wood prop. Engine has a very reliable idle. I did not encounter any issues with the Carb, as identified in some reviews, and the Cam gear is still OK after 5 flights. For the moment I am using 15pcnt Klotz, 8pcnt Castor oil blend for the running in period. The engine is very fuel efficient. Today made a 20min flight with a 0.5L tank. As a reference: my Saito 180 runs max 8 min on 0.5L.
One small minor point: the glow plug is not accessible very easy: had to solder a wire to it
