Excellent product for the money

The supplied canopy is junk, that said I made a frame and mounted the canopy on that and glued and screwed it down. Works well. I also made a second canopy with a camera, video Tx, and an OSD. Also works well. Overall I would give this glider a thumbs up and recommend it to anyone. For the price you can't beat it.

I had never flown a glider before, and I had the usual apprehension when I let a friend hand launch it for me. It just climbed and climbed. It didn't want to do anything but climb and fly around like a huge vulture. It didn't especially want to land, though, and that took three approaches. I used a 930 kv FMS motor I had in a box with other odds and ends, a 45 amp ESC with sw bec, and four 17g servos, which were a little chubby, but I adapted as always. The battery was a 3700 mah 3s, which was about as large as could be used in this plane. Smaller would be better, but this is what I had, and it works fine. Glued in my own battery tray at aft end of cockpit, and the bats protrude under the wing mount over the rud and ele servos. No problem. 3000mah 3s would fit better. The canopy was problematic. Couldn't make any sense out of the plywood cockpit floor. I simply discarded the floor, scissored the canopy down to fit the fuse, and retained the canopy with four nylon screws (10-24). Used slots in the canopy instead of holes, so I can leave the screws in place and just slip the canopy on and tighten the screws. The canopy material is strong enough to be scissored without splintering. A 12x8 Master Screw folding prop and 2 1/4" spinner. A big relaxing thrill to fly this bird.

Arrived in just 14 days and everything ok, well packed and no damage, good finish and also the balsa is good quality. The instructions say to glue the outer wing panels but with the size of 2.50M transport becomes very difficult so I preferred them removed and I doubled the thickness of aluminum bayonet, just a bit of tape and remain perfectly combined. Some difficulties to understand mounting the hood, it's certainly not for beginners but with this price you can not expect to . At the end is a nice pattern from the line a little retro. I mounted the engine and recommended with 3 cells using a carbon 11x8 for the first flight. The only flaw is that the cost of transport and the customs tax has almost doubled the price but for a 2.50M all balsa can accept.
good wishes flights

Got this glider a few weeks ago. Came perfectly covered out of the box. I used a gliderdrive motor, folding prop, turnigy esc. I found the only issue is manual has you expoxy on the wingtips to the center section. This makes transport nearly impossible for any but the longest of vehicles. Instead i built them removable, using a internal nut and plastic thumbscrew. Flight on 3s is definately adequate and the climb rate is incredible. I use near full spoilerons to slow her down when hunting for lift, or comming into land. She is very sleek and fast under power and downwind... not a beginner glider for sure. All in all an awesome glider for the price!

This is a truly awesome glider. The construction is quite solid and the covering is quite good. The covering on the wings is the same on the top as the bottom which I don't prefer but still..... The only issue with the airframe is the hopeless canopy. I ended up making my own canopy from scratch which works well.

The Big E-Fair is very stable in the air and seems to handle wind well. I maidened mine today in about 20km/hr winds and it went fine. Even though the temperature today was only 8c, I was still able to find a bit of lift here and there. I'm sure the Big E-Fair will be a winner in the warmer months when there are lots of thermals around.

I recommend this glider.

hello, a glider with good quality Finishes, hovers very much for landing must track long enough, behave great in the air, trying to get used to position plonorului air due to the transparency of the wings, you ii stick opaque sheet at the end of the wings, engine http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__32817__Turnigy_GliderDrive_SK3_Competition_Series_3850_3_5_1400kv.htmlusing the ESC Turnigy Plush 60a and propeller 11x6, takes off with only 1/3 stick, unlimited vertical climb

Model arrived from Int WH with no damage as the model was double packed and everything was taped down inside the box.
On first view, everything looks good, balsa is good and the covering is good but had to seal a little bit that was loose on the leading edge.
Model has planes that are clear and anyone with any experience of other ARF balsa, should have no problems, only thing I struggled a little with, was the insertion of the wing tip joiners as the brass tubing and wire where almost impossible to fit. After some sanding of the wire where it had cut and digging out bits of glue that had found its way into the tube, all worked well.
Al thought the instructions say to GLUE the wingtips on, I decided to take a chance and just use clear tape to hold them in position, the rest of the build is very easy including the insertion of a 3735 outrunner (a grove has been cut in the nose for the motor wires) and installation of servos, push rods and linkages supplied, all was ready to go.
I did not have an ESC suitable for a motor run, so just used a small ESC to run the radio gear via the BEC and off to the slope. Wind was showing 12kph gusting 15kph and she felt like she was ready to fly, so I gave her a slight push and away she went.
About 5 or 6 clicks of up elevator and she was flying straight and level and hunting for lift, the nose lifting on every bit of updraft and she was soon way
