hi . the voltage rating of both the reciever and servo depends on needing a ubec my setup is a spektrum 6115e with ripmax sd 100 servos . all are rated over 8 to 9v . battery is a 2s 180mA . and no problems . this gives me a safe flying time of about 1hr and 40 mins. i have flown proper dlgs 1.5 m carbon /kevlar . but besides the somewhat fiddly build . flying this is really really enjoyable .i havent had a chance to weigh it but trust me i can fit mine safely into the back of a two door toyota yaris WITHOUT taking it apart . i would recommend flying this flatfield , in nothing greater than a light breeze . evening/ early morning . nice flier ,best craic ive had in ages .

This is a great DLG , rides thermals like a pro and very durable. It does take some work but its well worth it. I used a 600 mah 1s lipo along with a volt booster and she flew fine. Use the 4 gram servos for the wings they work just fine but make sure to loosen up the alerions.

Just bought the plane. I've read only good things about it, no complains. My friend has one now for well over a year and he hasnt broken it all tho he had some hard landings.
Cant wait to get it.
It says at specs that the weight is 100 grams. It weights 100 grams without electronics. It weights around 150 grams when it's ready to fly.

Maidened mine last weekend after a somewhat lengthy and delayed build. But it was worth the wait and time taken to get things right. This thing flies like a much bigger model. Very impressive!

Mine was built with 5deg less dihedral in the wing as I believe the original 2ch design was not altered when they introduced ailerons. The extra dihedral gave stability for 2ch but reduces efficiency on a full house DLG. The reduced angle makes it turn very nicely and doesn't make it unstable at all. Servos used are D47's all round and I simplified the control runs by using carbon rod in shrink wrap down the inside of the boom.

RX is an Lemon DSM2 6CH (really like these as they are essentially a PCB with plugs and antenna's, so simple, so light.

Flight pack is a 2S 230Mah with a voltage regulator.. Im addicted to these now and already looking at the Binary 3.!

Great little DLG - high quality kit.

Pros: great quality wing. Very light and strong. Flies really really well - i have had several 15 minute flights and one over 30 minutes. Lovely model and so much fun to launch.

Cons: pretty involved build. Might be difficult for those who have had on PNP experience. Manual is pretty bad but lots of online advice to build is easy to find.

Great glider, flies very smoothly and is very lightweight. Build is a bit tricky but nothing a beginner cannot do. Completed mine in about a week with little problems but the instructions on the CD it comes with are a little vague and do overlook a couple of points. Forums and videos helped me to finish this plane. Overall, a great glider.

This is a great kit, but not for beginners for sure. I'm actually on my second one of these. Use 4-5g servos (I used the Turnigy 5.5g ones and they're fine), a 300 mAH 2S pack with VR or BEC and a *VERY* small receiver of your choice. The RX must be less than 1'' wide for sure, so make sure to measure the pod before ordering if you need to. Overall the build is not easy but not overly hard as well. Cutting the boom, gluing, drilling, and other advanced stuff needs to be done to get this one up and flying well. There's nothing in the kit that keeps the pod cover on so I put on some velcro to hold it on and it works great! Make sure that the wing does NOT flex AT ALL or it will break apart on launch like my first one did. Keep the tail rudder/elevator nice and strong with a good amount of thin or medium CA and make sure that it's all straight. Cut a small notch in the boom to allow for the small carbon fiber pushrod for the elevator servo to fit through on move the horn. Make sure that the notch isn't too big though, as that will make it weaker. The ailerons have to be cut as well, remember to only cut the top skin and NOT the bottom! Servo holes are not precut out also, be careful when cutting those as well. The servos may not fit completely flush with the wing as well. MAKE SURE to use the fiberglass tape that comes with the kit for the middle of the wings. Get the wing mounts very strong on the wing as well and make sure that they won't shift in flight. A pro

just finished the build. I would rate the build as intermediate to difficult. It is an involved process but is doable in two evenings. The instructions are lacking but you can work it out easy enough. You will need some extra hardware to attach your servos to the push rods.

The quality of the wing is excellent apart from two human hairs being glassed into my wing!!

I cut the aileron slots on the top side as shown in the instructions - this allows for more flaperon than would be possible with cut underneath.

I am using a 330 2S and an orange 6 channel Rx with cover removed. Turnigy 1440A servos fit well. AUW is 136grams for my set up.

It is a good looking bird and as soon as the wind dies I will go give her a fling and report back.

Easy to pilot.

To much breakable and not enough place in the cockpit.
I appreciate the flight but i mean is to much money.
