The Creality series of 3D printers very quickly became the leading go-to printers on the market. The Ender 3 is in the middle of their range which makes it very popular amongst the general modeling fraternity. Its open-frame design, good size build volume, and wide filament compatibility make this a great choice for first-timers at this fascinating and rewarding hobby or for the more experienced user.

This Version 2 of the Ender 3 has an extensive range of new features (please see below) but retains its neat, compact design and ease of use. Retained of course from the V1 is the "Resume Print", this means it has the ability to resume printing even after a power loss or other lapse in printing. Other features are a sturdy very stable design, quick, easy assembly, V-Slot with POM wheel which allows it to move quietly and smoothly, a tight filament path which improves compatibility with flexible filaments, and a safety protected power supply. The Ender 3 V2 is compatible with Creality Slicer, Cura, Repetier-Host, and Simplify3D software and file formats STL, OBJ, and G-Code.

Upgraded Features of V2:
Ultra Silent Printing: A new motherboard and silent TMC2208 stepper drives have been developed in-house for virtually silent printing (below 50dB)
Smart Filament Run Out Detection: This feature detects when the filament runs out and stops the print, it will not carry on with no filament coming out.
Improved XY Axis Injection Tensioner: Allows you to tension the belt quickly and easily
Carborundum Glass Platform: An amazing surface that heats up very quickly giving better adhesion for your print
Color Screen Interface: This is a much easier and simpler to use interface. It looks better, is more intuitive, and has a newly designed UI operating system
Integrated Toolbox: No longer do you need to have your 3D printing tools spread all over the place, the integrated toolbox allows you to neatly and conveniently store these away
Improved Filament Feed: This feature makes it much easier when loading new filament to the printer by the use of a rotary knob
Upgraded Hotend and Fan Duct: This improves the print, the cooling and reduces fan noise

All in all the V2 has improved what was already a great printer to make it even better, that will print sizeable pieces, and is even easier and quieter to use at an excellent price.

Retained Features from the V1:
• Stable, integrated all-metal chassis for better quality prints
• Resume print allows the print to resume after a power loss
• Key components are tested for 24hrs
• Tight filament path helps the use of flexible filaments
• Stable and consistent print quality for extended periods
• Quick and easy to assemble and set up
• Smooth and quiet operation due to V-slot with POM wheel

This price is unbeatable!

Aug 29, 2022

Seriously, this is the lowest price you can find around.
The printer itself doesn't need a review, I mean guys, It's an Ender 3v2, you can't go wrong with it! I suggest you guys, buy it before the world turn around again and the sales department at HobbyKing have to increase the price. Best deal I made this year.

Ender 3 V2 Purchase from UK

Jun 07, 2021

The printer is very well packaged, and it's clear a lot of effort has been made to ensure the printer arrives in good condition. The instructions are good but combine this with some good youtube videos; you can assemble the printer quickly and get some additional tips on setup to ensure you have a nicely constructed and ridged frame setup. I cannot comment yet on the print capabilities as I am taking my time to understand all my resources and learn them: Cura for slicing and Design Spark Mechanical for the CAD as I am keen to design and make my own 3D prints. Both applications are free and of good quality with well-supported communities and youtube videos. Unfortunately, some "not so good" aspects are confusing pricing! The HobbyKing price was reasonable, and I was keen to purchase the printer from a UK warehouse. After Brexit's chaos, I was aware Customs charges could be difficult to predict, so I assumed when I ordered from Hobykings UK warehouse the duty would have already been paid, I was WRONG! I saw with dismay after placing the order that the product was shipped from Belgium. Understanding the EU tax situation, I feared that although UK/EU originating products are not taxed at import, anything originating from outside the EU will be! So eventually, I got the dreaded letter from Border Force "charging £46.56 VAT - fair enough, but then an additional £12.00 from Parcel Force for the additional handling fee! So £58.56 additional cost or approx 28% extra. For info, the Border Force charge VAT for anything over £135, so personally will no longer trust the advertised warehouse. I will assume you will pay extra VAT and £12.00 handling charge on anything over £135, so I will shop around knowing everything advertised at lower cost here actually is likely to be more expensive! Also, the power lead was continental (minor point), but again it highlights UK warehouse stock may not be as advertised - Buyer Beware. But besides those negatives, the product is every bit as good quality as the reviews indicate! If Hobyking contacts me, I will be happy to discuss this.

Silent sort of...

Jun 02, 2021

The description reads like the printer is very quiet. After setup and 5 prints at 5h each the result is very clear to me. If someone is talking about silence it does not mean the fan on the hot end starts spinning if the power switch is in "ON" position. If the print process is running some time, a second fan starting to run (power supply) and this one is louder than the fan from hot end. The steppers and the rest is very quiet but by the way, the plastic from the bearings starts to wear out and the dust from it covers the printing bed.
Previous I was also running the M200 and they are playing in the same league if the audible sounds are on the scale.
The printing results are ok for my point of view.
