The frame was ok, but I bought this mainly for the Gimbal and I realized that this is not an authentic gimbal controller, and setting up the correct firmware is a nightmare. The bigger issue is it's a 2 axis 8 bit and everything aroung is now using ARM 3 axis .

The overal quality is ok but there are some drawbacks. The solder on the lower board has been done in a hurry which is visible. Some points I needed to redo. Also the red power wire of the gimbal controller was not correctly soldered and broke.
Just a couple of minutes to fix all.
The manual was clear although I'd prefer to first mount the arms and then the landing skid. Otherwise it's hard to reach the arm bolts.
All in all a nice quadcopter frame with lots of space for a very nice price !

I didn't have this frame for that long before I had a flyaway and haven't seen it since. I thought it was good value when on special (maybe around $US70 but not really worth considering at full price. Once I get over my flyaway I will probably do a new build using an S500 frame, which is a lot cheaper but seems good.
Instructions and ease of build were good. I didn't get around to installing the gimbal so I can't comment on that. I will probably install it on a future quad.
Good things about the design are:
Plenty of space
Easy to build
Seems solid, although I never crashed it hard.
Stiff arms
Good power filtering.

Negative things about the design are:
XT60 plug faces backwards, which makes it hard to have the battery (mine was 450g or so) far enough forward to balance the quad without a counterweight at front. Probably OK with Gimbal and camera installed.
I found it somewhat unstable in pitch, and despite lots of PID pitch adjustments I found it tended to be unstable in pitch in high winds. Maybe could have been resolved with more tuning.
Attachment of the legs to frame is not very rigid - just one small bolt and the legs tend to rotate.
Slot at the front of the top frame plate means that it is hard to mount an FPV camera without putting an extra plate on.

What an immense value!
I paired this frame with a Jiyi P2 flight controller, both of which have little coverage on YouTube or RCG. Another unonown was the power system, from LD-Power. Everything was on sale, the frame for 90, FC for 46, FPV combo cor 29, and l motor/ESC combo for 60. So, for $225 and my own Mobius, I now had a camera ship! With a gimbal, no less!


The frame had one fault, in that the video traces on the PDB/Lower Deck didn't work, a very easy fix, especially as my OSD renders the feature kind of pointless. Otherwise, the upswept arms and BEC, that they called the Defibrillator, are features I wish Hobbyking would include on more full size frames. The instructions, however are probably its best feature, the best I've seen from a Chinese model. The gimbal requires it's own PID tuning, very easy thanks to the Basecam GUI. I thought it was going to be intimidating but YouTube wtf!

This thing is actually a great bargain. Especially at this reduced price. Maybe everyone is moving into 250 FPV, I'm actually going to make this one into a 500 FPV! :)

good copter-kit with very good gimbal
4 krones, because the arms are not especially strong
and there are no spareparts
