I have used these retracts on a 2.5Kg Spitfire, as the manufacturer states they are suitable for up to a 3.5 Kg model, I was hoping they would be suitable, However any form of hard landing (and we all have them from time to time) the plastic parts of the housing brake, I do not believe they suitable only for a model less than 2Kg. I even took the trouble to by the metal side plates, this did not help as it is the centre plastic moulding that gives way.

good retract, but hadn't the time to test in my spitfire of 2.5kg so far.

I've just fitted these to my Kyosho EP 50, but used the spring loaded struts also sold on this site by HK. These retracts take about 5 seconds to retract or deploy, so very scale looking and smooth and work perfectly. Will be purchasing more as soon as they are back in stock

I am planning on trying it on a Durafly Spitfire as well as on a friends FlyFLy Mustang. Another website (Throttlestore.com) states it as suitable for weights 4-8 lbs (2-3,5 kg). Should be fun with a Turnigy 3 Channel Servo Speed/Direction Regulator

mounted for added reality.
