This is a very good motor and you can’t beat the performance for the price. I have a Freewing F-35 which I installed the 70mm Freewing 12 blade all aluminum EDF with 2050kv motor kit. I used this motor to upgrade from the 2938-2085kV motor that came with the kit, it fits right in. The difference was dramatic. It added about 15 mph to the top speed and much better sound. This motor has very good build quality and runs very smooth. With a Hobbywing Platinum V3 100 amp ESC and a fully charged 2700 mah zippy compact 35C 6S battery I get 100.35 amps and over 2000 watts on the Turnigy 180A Watt Meter at 100pcnt throttle. I program the transmitter to max the throttle at 95pcnt to ensure I don’t burn the motor, although the all-aluminum EDF keeps the motor really cool. Just order 2 more for my Twin 70mm SU-35.

HK says max power 1700 watts @ 80A max current, on 6S Lipo. Don't believe it! I bench tested this motor in a Mad Thrust metal alloy 70mm EDF unit with 10-blade turbine using a fully charged 6S Turnigy Compact (yellow) 35C Lipo. The best the voltmeter showed was 1250 watts at 59 amps. HK suggests operating range of 58000 rpm. Divide this number by 2600kv and you get 22.30 volts, a number well within the range of any 6S Lipo battery.
Bottom line: the performance numbers for this electric motor are hyped!

After 40 flight with stock 6 blade fans in a Freewing Su-35 very good performance on 6S. Just a little bit tail heavy, so you need a battery >800gr or /like myself) 50gr. lead in the nose.
Battery 5000 Compact 25C cannot handle the power of ~130A and gets hot. 7mins up to flighttime.
Battery 4250 A-Spec G2 4250 60C ist perfect and will torque at 90pcnt thurst. Flighttime 5 mins.
I will change the engines against Typhoon 2W27 soon. This will save 70gr. per engine and no need of lead.

Just installed two of these motors in the pair of 70mm 6 bladed EDFs that will be installed into my HK Su35. I bench tested each of them on the Dr Mad EDF test stand with a Turnigy AE 100 amp ESC and a Turnigy 5000 mah 25-45C battery 6S. They were each producing over 1.8kg of thrust at 58 peak amps and 1300 watts. A 30 second run at max power did not even make the motors warm. I did install a heat sink on each motor. I think this is going to be a great inexpensive 70 mm EDF package. Looking forward to see how they perform in my 2.6kg model.

Smooth as silk with XRP 14 blade fan in 7 stator alloy shroud from Lander. 4 cell or 5 cell. 6 cell only on 4 to 6 blade fan, but RPM limit exceeded? The XRP rotor is rated for 44,000 rpm and 1700 watts. This motor gets it spot on and is smooth.

this motor pushed my funjet ultra to 315kmh. 100a, 1800w with a 5.5x5.5 graupner propeller and a 6s battery. after 2 flights, motor was warming up but still safe. the 2960 2200kv motor is good, but this one is better :)

I received it few minutes ago, and I try it whit rotor from 10 blade EDF (PR.ID: 444000001-0) Turnigy AE 65A and 6S Turnigy nano-tech 4,5Ah battery. Battery were charge few day ago on *storage* mode (60pcnt). Max I = 85,3 A. I am tried it on short time, because ESC is only 65A. EDF stator diameter for this motor is small. Look good, but must be well cooled.
