50 Years in R/C, this is the best plane

Jets, pattern, sport, all great planes, but none are quite as perfect as what the Tundra gives you. Takeoffs and landings are often perfect, as well as the in between. My first Tundra has been flying for five years, and with mnor repairs is still my go-to in any weather, any wind, and temperature. The new features on this one, including the wing strakes, the reversing ESC, the plug-in wing connections for ailerons and flaps and the beefed-up landing gear add value and are good quality. Paint job is attractive and all surfaces are arrow straight. So happy to have this plane.

Great plane, easy to fly and land.
A little underpowered with 3S batteries but really comes alive with 4S
Serco leads are a bit short- makes receiver installation fiddly.
Really like the undercarriage and large wheels- makes flying off any surface easy
Overall a great plane
Freight makes the package expensive and therefore restrictive

I bought the Tundra V2 early 2021 I followed the instructions then took it out for it maiden flight I got it straight & level into a light wind & trimmed it out & wow what an awsome aircraft, it takes off with 1/4 flaps and lands with 3/4 flaps a breeze

This thing is awesome. I love dropping the flaps and coming in to land at a crawl. Plane is very responsive and fun to rip around on also. Only problem is lack of spare parts. Seems everything that I would like to replace is out of stock.

This is one of the best flying aircraft available. My trainer is going to recommend it to all his students. Hinging could be improved. Had to put in my own hinge on the elevator. It takes too long to get a replacement elevator. Almost a month.

Easy to assemble. Motor, esc and servos are a very good fit.
Really makes it nice with the reversible ESC.
I would purchase again.
Be nice if they offered it without floats.

I am a long time RC aviation enthusiast with warbird and plenty of ARF experience. I have been away from the hobby for over 10 years, and I bought the Durafly Tundra V2 to teach myself to fly again. I was shocked at the quality of this aircraft. Everything went together quickly and easily. It is extremely sturdy with quality hardware, and the fitment was far better than I've encountered on ARFs at 3 times the price. The real beauty is in the flying, though. This thing handles like a dream, and I was doing effortless touch and goes on the 2nd flight. I have a mowed strip next to my house which is far from smooth and the large, soft tires below the robust landing gear assembly soak up the bumps with ease. By moving the battery (2200 MaH 3s) and CG aft, the aircraft changes from docile trainer to aerobatic athlete, still with no nasty stall surprises in high alpha flight. The Durafly Tundra was perfect to relearn the sticks, but this may be the only plane I go to from here on out. Hassle free, fun and easy flying without the drama. Love it.

A great flying airplane. But there were a couple issues. One of the landing gear wires was in the wrong hole on the spring point connector. The battery tray is mounted to far back for a good CG. Other than that all was well.

faulty ESCs

Awesome flying plane but BEWARE. A friend of mine and I have had three of these planes. The first one crashed while making a loop. It drove right into the ground and was completely destroyed. Thought it might have been pilot error. Not so. He and I both ordered a new one. Both had the same issue. Lost power while flying. Fortunately, we were able to dead stick those flights without damage. After investigating, we found that all three had faulty ESCs. Replaced the ESCs and everything worked fine. BEWARE if you order the TUNDRA.
