nice plane but you need to change at least the elevator servo for a 20g it flies great, add flaps to it and it will land very nice I have done many 3 points landing with flaps and landing gears hold very good I did change the landing gears servo from the beginning because they where not working properly I use cheap 9g metal gear servos
already has more than a year and still flying very good : )

Bought mine before the tail servos were upgraded, so I replaced my stock ones with metal geared servos, added a 60A Plush esc and the servo slow-down module for the retracts. Have to plan ahead on my approach, but the retracts sure look good coming down! Takes about two seconds. I also drilled out the exhaust headers for better cooling, and soldered together several deans connectors so I can use two 2200 batteries together. Still have to watch those tipstall tendencies! I also put several layers of clear tape over the hatch magnets because they are so strong and the rear of the hatch was deforming from having to squeeze so hard to remove it. Overall, a great plane that needs just a little tweaking.

Hallo,

Great looking plane. I added a 40A Plush ESC and changed out the rear servos with metal geared ones. Also drilled out the exhaust pipes for improved airflow. One of the landing gear servos is weak or needs adjustment, as one gear keeps collapsing during taxi. Will have to adjust and try again.

Got mine 3 months ago. Now have over 25 flights on it. Fast out of box stock (approx. 80km/h?) Motor stayed cool trying a 10.5*9 pulling 500watts n' 44a. Floats FOREVER! (fat wings) Should take heavy loads no prob. I hand launch w/ elev trimmed up n' full throttle n' belly land on tall grass (left off the scoops). Changed out elev. n' rudd. servo for HXT900's. Tighten the screws down on the linkage's. Rudders a bit sloppy, only notice it in a good wind. Overall a very good value if u r looking 2 get into a .40 size aircraft. Just don't expect it to Knife edge or do any 3-d manuvers like your PZ T-28 or similar sized foamie! Have a 4s 3000 mah turn. batt. in the mail, will post data when I get it. Cheers!

This plane is great value for money, it looks very impressive on the ground and in flight. My only beef is that it does not like taking off from grass, and wants to tip onto its nose. I have been hand launching.
Also I put washers under the engine mount, to offset the thrust to the right, and I find it much more stable.
To quibble, the paint comes off easily.
I am amazed by how light the plane is, but generally I am delighted with it.

I recieved my Spitfire in great condition...this was my first foamie, I prefer to scratch build...installed the ESC and used a 2650mAh battery everything fit fine...I used my Jr XP8103 transmitter a a 6 channel reciever..when checking the controls for direction of travel the retracts didn't work right...one would come down the other would come up...not good when trying to land...I looked at the installation of the servos abd found that the both were installed the same direction...simple solution...used a small phillips screw driver which i had to insert thru the foam in front of the control ar to remove the screw...once this was done a little cutting of the foam channel that the control rod ran thru..replaced the control arm opposite of the original position (180 degrees) ...everything works great

The only assembly problem was the landing gear. I finally fixed the problem by mixing 2 channels on my PCM10X transmitter.

I used a 4 cell 3000 lipo and found that the downthrust had to be removed to prevent nose overs on take off and at anything above 1/2 throttle. It's a pussy cat to land and the gear holds up well on paved runways. Very aerobatic and with the 4 cell battery, is fast!
