Got two of this fan. NOTE: I only got the 6-blade fan itself, and the housing where the motor is attached, no other parts what so ever, so make sure to check with HK _before_ ordering if you really need the other parts! I wanted this fan for my mini Mig-15, and it fits pretty well. The flange on the housing is a little bit larger in diameter (55.3 mm instead of the originals 54.7 mm) and the housing outer diameter measured at the flange is 53.0 mm instead of the original 52.3 mm. This means it is a little bit tighter to get the motor cover in place, but it's not a real problem. The housing is a lot stiffer than the original (the original easily flexes so much that it touches the fan), so lot less risk of problems due to compressing the housing with this one. I had to cut 5 mm off the housing where the motor goes in to make the mini Mig-15 motor fit. I put the housing on a bolt, put the bolt into a drill then cut off the rotating housing with a hacksaw. The fan feels more brittle then the original but was nicely balanced and withstands full power with 3S and original mini Mig15 motor without problems. Would buy this again if needed. Cheers!

The value is outstanding and is well built - BUT I have to down mark it overal for the daft shaft size. The 2mm shaft size is too small and hard to find a decent motor to fit.

In the end I took a tapered reamer to the rotor and opened up for a standard 3mm unit. In fact I reamed out slightly so I could get a 3mm thread tap in ... once tapped - I then screwed the rotor onto my stock Skyangel 50mm motor ... no nut, nothing but the rotor. Its fine.

I bought one of these to replace the stock one in my Skyangel A6. I never measured the thrust with the stock unit, but there was always only just enough power to fly. With this unit, I couldn't get enough to make it fly. Out of curiosity, I measured the thrust and only got 190g on a fresh 3s. I'm not sure what to try next, to be honest...

Good fans for the money. As has been said before, a good upgrade option to the 50mm jets.
My recent order did NOT include the accessories pictured with the fan

This is a great little EDF unit.

Bought this to replace the EDF from a Mini T45 I got from here (I never checked it's casing clearance and the impeller eventually self-destructed after 20 flights) and this is a much better unit.

Casing is more rigid in comparison, more like ABS compared to the original which was flexible and felt almost like nylon.

Had to re-drill the shaft size and grind a bit of the motor mount casing that protruded out the back too far for the original motor but nothing too major.

Well worth the money, and then some... :-)

i tested one with stock jpower motor and i disapointed.
240gr thrust at 14A with 3S 1300mah 15C battery.
Stock Jpower fan: 320gr thrust at 14A with tha same battery.

So if you want to replace stock jpower fan with this one, you will lose thrust unless you change the motor too.

Bought this as a replacement for the Skyangel 50mm F16. Combined with a Turnigy 1000 mah 4s, the difference from stock is phenomenal. Much stiffer than stock fan and balances really well. AAA
