I used this EDF with teh Turnigy 2610 EDF Outrunner 4000 kv. The part which holds the motor is too long after cutting it along the EDF housing this combo works really well.

Sturdy plastic. Marked "Haoye 2" Ducted Fan". Impeller hub for 3mm shaft included, with two grub screws, spinner and screw for the spinner, so all complete. To fit my motor (T26151A4800) I had to cut away quite a bit of the motor mount tube (say 11mm or so), but no biggie (sharp knife and some patience). EDF shroud outer diameter 55mm, length 50mm, shroud inner diameter 53.5mm. So the impeller has around 1.3mm clearance to the shroud wall (a bit much perhaps). Four screw holes fit the motor nicely. Had to balance the fan, it was a little bit out of center. All in all nice quality. I put it in my Mini MIG-15 with the mentioned motor. It consumed 31.5A at full throttle static, which is at maximum limits for both battery (1300mAh 3S 25C nano-tech) and ESC (D-lux 30A). Maiden with the new fan went well, but the battery puffed really bad (had to discard it). I could feel that when punching the throttle, some component couldn't keep up continuously with the fan's request for power. Will need 40A ESC and higher C-rating on the battery (or better throttle management, bot how fun is that :-) But the fan is good, recommend it.

Tough lidle Fan, i use it as a Tail Fan for my Tricopter Porject. Very cool. Gets about 800g of Thrust

I've set up and owned around a dozen of edf planes, but there just wasn't any way to get this thing to work. Finding a suitable shat adapter was almost imposible (had to wait for months for it), and after that, the thing was so badly balanced that it just wouldn't stop grinding the shroud (before even reaching half throtle!).
Simply useless.

i have a 90mm size foam F4 phantom with two 51mm haoye (wemo eater) fans in the outlets with hk2627 4300 outrunner, (never use an inrunner) 2x hk35a speedys ,4 cell 3600mah 30c turnigy ,,no landing gear .bottom cheat hole covered, super lite more thrust than weight, impressive performance , still fast

hoaye are the only serious fan hk sells..those all alloy mototurbine units only match impeller performance but are heavier and costly,,i would say are very nice....... all those lander,,dps and other similar fans are low pitched bricks...i used the hk2627 4300kv outrnnner cut 1/3 off the back of the fan housing (very long) to fit ...3cell pulls 23a 400g static in the plane...probably much more when up to speed..top fan

For anyone going to buy this DF unit :



Motor mount tube is 24.6mm ID and 33.2 long. This prevents use of the EDF outrunners available here in HK. Example the 2610 5000KV motor is 26mm OD and would need motor mount tube shortened by 16.4mm - not recc'd.

C'mon HK - where's a motor to fit with good high KV such as 6000 or more ?

Be careful with motor for this DF unit ... the motor mount tube is longer than many and will not allow standard outrunner EDF motors to fit without cutting slot in the tube to allow power leads to sit in. Advise to use an Inrunner with rear exit leads.

Run with a turnigy 2610 5000kva edf motor on 3s 2200 35C battery drawing a constant 36amps. I measured 400gm thrust without inlet ring and 500gm with inlet ring. I carved the inlet ring from foam.
