OK, but quality control poor

Apr 17, 2021

I bought 6 of these for a project. OK for the job, but 2 of the 6 were missing bullet connectors from motor leads.

Cheap, but works

Jan 17, 2021

I bought this to use as a lift motor for a homemade Hovercraft. This is the first and only one I have bought to date, so my knowledge is maybe a bit lacking.
My first issue was a lack of fixings, as in there are none. My solution was to hot melt glue the rim of the duct where it sat in the top of the hovercraft body and supliment this with a couple of screws into the side of the duct (below the lie of the blades) as extra security. Matbe this is nowmal, but seems a bit weird!
Secondly, when increasing the speed, the blades actually scrape against the side of the duct. Whilst the instructions tell you this is normal, it does leave really ugly white scratches around the inside of the duct.
All that said, it was cheap (and therefore for me affordable) and it works for my purpose.

Use battery 3s, esc 40A

Aug 26, 2018

More finding after using lipo 4s that burnt my esc 40A and the motor itself. The fan blades somehow robbing the duct. The metal nut locking the motor was worn off and loosen out.

Battery 3s, esc 40A

Aug 25, 2018

I was using lipo 4s 1300mah. Flight durations 4minutes x2 which ended my jet plane dive down and crashed. My Esc 40A was smoking and the motor no more running. I think better stay using battery 3s with esc 40A minimum configuration

EDF64 With ADH300 Motor Assembled 252W(4300kv)

Apr 07, 2018

Very very lightweight. Motor is small but strong. Then fan is not very well balanced but it is acceptable. Also, due to its shape it is difficult to get it in a prop balancer for static balance.
I do not dare to use it on 4S as I have tried it on 3S and it gets moderatelly hot.
I bought it to install it in a Stinger and I believe it will fly much better as it is significantly lighter now due to this EDF and the fact I will be flying it on 3S (more or less the same RPM as the stock EDF on 4S),

Quite a powerful fan with the new motor that is now in this unit, but it does draw nearly 30 Amps so use an esc that will handle that amount of current. the stated 16 Amp is obviously from the previous model. I will be using two of these for an F22 Depron sheet model so it should have a pretty good turn of speed, Maybe two motors is overkill. I can always throttle back a bit!
