Inferior quality equals failure

Nov 05, 2020

Yes, this was an inexpensive item. BUT, was it "fit for purpose"? No. Flimsy, poorly designed rubbish. This landing gear 'extension' broke on the first hard landing. Other than the horizontal carbon-fibre looking tubes, the rest of the components are cheap brittle plastic. A very high "don't buy" on this one.

BUY 3 or 4 (not just 2)

1. They WILL break due to the poor design: Weak plastic at too much of an outward angle.
2. They're are no "soft landings" for these. I land in the grass 99% of the time but the weight of the camera, gimbal, and Venture will crush these flimsy arms. Possibly on 1st landing. Gluing the carbon fiber poles into the plastic arms, and tying both sides together is highly recommended. I'm not bragging, but I'm good at flying quads. I'll set the Venture down on my tailgate to my pickup no problem. But you simply can't prevent these from breaking with "skill". Buy 3 or 4 if you fly every weekend like I do. (this is how HK stays in business)

Complete piece of junk.

It snapped during ASSEMBLY! Just from putting the carbon fiber rod into the plastic arm. So I ended up wrapping wire around the tubes width-wise to prevent them from spreading apart during a landing, which I GUARANTEE they will. But since this is the only option for the Venture I'd highly recommend buying at least 2 sets. I wish I did.

Light weight. Seem strong enough on regular landings. 1 set were involved in a pretty major crash and had only minor damage. But at that price just buy 2 sets.

sono gambette semplici. forse un po' basse per la mia gimbal a 2 assi che si trova sospesa a soli pochi millimetri da terra.

Does the job, seems plenty strong enough so far. I brought a spare based on some of the reviews but I think if you land gentle (as you should!) they will be fine! It would have been nice if they were in the original kit.

The quality not the best, but is light and cheap. It is possible to improve the "Extended Height Landing" using cheap materials. Irecommend.

Broke after a few touchdowns.
Had to tie them together to support the weight of the craft and stop them from bowing outwards which leads to the previously mentioned breaking.
After tied to each other.. other leg shows similar signs of stress and cracking.
