I bought it mainly for parts - as you can see, it's wing are compatible with the Volantex 1600-2000 series, so if is on sale, don't hesitate to buy it! According to reviews the 1600mm wing has better stall characteristics than the 2000mm

bon motoplaneur, moteur suffisant pour un débutant.
attention au réglages avant le premier vol; pour équilibrer le planeur et bien positioner les ailes de manière symétrique.
bien lancer l'apareil gaz à fond; je recommende les batteries 3S 2200Mah 40C pour plus de puissance. seulement 2 servos au déballage. maintenant 4 annoncés.

"FIRST RC PLANE!"
I do fly collective pitch Helicopters so would like to say I'm not a novice as such, I used my faithful old Spectrum DX8 (Comfy like old slippers). That helped a lot as I wasn't holding a 'Alien Object' in my paws for a start.
I left well alone when it came to setup, all the parts I flew with were right out of the box. Important for a review in my opinion, just added RX and '''Tightened all the SCREWS''', 20+ flights and still going well. I found it really easy to fly and land right off the bat, I was doing loops and rolls by flight 3 and now fly inverted and all that sort of thing like. It glides OK and is very stable for a beginner, hard landings are forgiving (even a very neat cartwheel a gymnast would of been proud of) 10/10 for execution.
Mods and repairs are inevitable but it fly's good with what you get in the box.
I mainly brought this as I'm used to Helicopters with Carbon and Aluminium parts and wasn't really sold on the whole foam-thing.
Anyhoo.. all good though now maybe I'm a little 'bored' so watch out Ebay.

love this place. solid construction and decent glide capabilities, haven't had it long but so far it's outstanding i did swap out the motor and speedy as well as aileron servo's and elevator servo. and used them for flaps while using mg servo's all round, only because of the distance i want to do with this i dont want any failures.

all in all on the build i'd tell everyone to go buy one.!!!

The electronics are crap so I replaced the lot.
The plane itself isnt too bad but and its a big but...
The motor mount and pod are awful.
They are both soft and brittle.
I have ordered the V2 mount from Hobbyking in the hope that I will at last have a good fpv platform.
In the end this has cost me nearly double the buying price to get it working well.

The FPV raptor 1.6 is the best fpv plane i have had. Its rugged and has loads of carrying capacity. Just replace the electronics. They really need to supply a kit version.

This is great aircraft. The only thing that lets this aircraft down are the wing bolts, it would be more convenient if it had some type to thumb screws or quick release system.

Has good pay load capacity, and EPO foam is good quality.

Packaging could be better to protect the aircraft, mine had damaged on vertical stabiliser, but nothing a quick soaking in boiling water couldnt straighten out.

The decals I received where like 100 years old, all curled up and they dont stick. Hinges also need some reinforcement but those minor complaints aside, quality wise it seems fine, and a fairly easy build. There is LOTS of room in the fuselage, I shouldnt have problems mounting a flight controller, GPS, OSD, and amp sensor.

I flew the maiden with a 2200mAH battery and no fpv gear besides a mobius in the cockpit. Its borderline tail heavy even in that configuration, pitch stability was bad, didnt fly nicely. Forget about even smaller batteries, with a 2700 and 3300 it balances out and becomes a much nicer plane to fly, however, it also becomes even more underpowered than it was. Its OK for FPV and learning how to fly, but the power just isnt there to get you out of trouble, and even doing a looping from level flight is nearly impossible without diving for speed first.

Lack of power makes take off also a bit of a challenge, it needs a healty throw. Although I did manage to take off from the snow with no problems. Maybe it will work on (wet) grass too.

Power aside, flight characteristics are very good. Glide angle is excellent and I suspect flight times will be impressive (didnt time my flights, and it was freezing cold, but I suspect 20 minutes will be a given). She is pretty forgiving when stalled (if cg is correct), rolls nicely, doesnt 'auto level' like a bixler, but i
