Easy plane to fly! It can fly really slow so landing isnt a problem. I crashed mine today (sort of) and it was still fully intact, so its a tough plane.

I think the elevator can use a bit more travel. I use the ailerons as full capacity. The rudder is pretty big and thus very effective.

I flew it today in 10-15 kts wind, in this wind its lands nearly vertical.

So conclusion: Good sturdy plane, easy to fly.

I have found this to be an excellent flying glider despite a few issues that some have mentioned. The foam hinges do not last more than 4-5 f;lights before breaking off, the aircraft is slightly under powered, and it really should be factory equipped with flaps. It loves ot fly, but hates to come back down with just flaperons. I nylon pin hinged all surfaces, made balsa ailerons and flaps, econokoted the entire aircraft for strength, and bolted the wings through the canopy. The large wings tend to slip on the spar during flight and especially on landing and need a better way to secure them from slipping. Finally, I made servo protectors for the ailerons servo's as they tend to hit the ground occasionally on landing and snap servo gears. Overall, this plane is an great flyer at a great price and certainly draws attention at the field. Especially when lit rolls by on landing and keeps going.

Maidened it last weekend, had in total 4 flights. Very very nice plane, I flew it with a 3S 2200 mAh. Descents quite quickly for a glider (should go with a lighter battery I guess) but is a very fine plane to fly powered. Very relaxing. A joy to land too :-)

I removed all the stock clevis, horns etc from the kit as they are poor quality. Replaced it by decent hardware though.

Excellent glider! Build was complete in under 1.5 hours and centre of gravity was perfect with a 2200 3S in the battery space. Flew very well during first flight with only minor trimming required, has plenty of power on 3S for 35-45 degree climb

(Continued) cg of 40mm. The Fox flies well and looks great in the air. Quite frankly at this price what's not to like!

Received my Fox in August 2013. It has the tail mounted servo for the rudder and blue pilot with the cap, so not the version currently pictured on the product page. HobbyKing should do themselves a favour and update the product page images as the latest version is much better than the one pictured on the product page.
Mine had no shipping damage and I had no issues with the motor mount reported in some reviews.
I cut out all control surfaces and hinged them as even working them back and forward for a couple of hours didn't free them up enough and this would stress the servos. I also cut in flaps so that I could setup crow for landing and full span ailerons for increased manoeuvrability. At the moment I haven't set this up but have found that flaps on their own slow the Fox down well for landing.
I also changed the servos to HobbyKing 939MG's as I had some lying around and some owners have reported servo blowback during high speed aerobatics. I also added a 40A Plush ESC, again because I had a spare one.
The only assembly issue I had was that I found it hard to get the two horizontal stabiliser bolts secured as they appeared to be a little too short. Got there in the end though. I'm using 1300mAh Nanotech 45 C batteries and have added 40 grms of lead to the tail to balance her. My cg is now sitting at 63 mm from the leading edge, quite a way back from the recommended c
