I ordered two of them. They didn't bind to my Taranis with D16 V2 (EU nor Int.)
I assume that the D16 protocol is D16 V1 (before safety update)
So I can not recommend them if you use a Frsky transmitter.
They may work well if you use a Multi Protocol Module.
In this case you can select the right version of D16 protocol.
I did send them back and got a full refund from Hobbyking.

Good customer service but have received 2 that do not work?

Good customer service but dongle won't bind to Taranis plus. Have 3 orange receivers and a transmit module that have worked flawless for years but this dongle has never tried to work. I have found my Frsky dongle that was lost so decided to just take my loss. Not sure if issue is my mistake or none of these dongles will work? I would suggest buying a real Frsky dongle.

No instructions & had to google a video to find that you have to push the button on its side & hold it down as you plug it in to your USB port, or it does not work.

USB dongle for Flight Sim

I used it to connect my Frsky Taranis to Reflex XTR2 flight simulator, you just bind it as you would any Rx and it worked straight away..

Hands free sim use

I started using wireless USB dongles just over a year ago with the DSMX version of this Frsky dongle, and while using the DSMX version the only issues I ever had were caused by the radio I was using (Turnigy 9 XR Pro) but I needed to replace my old transmitter as it was starting to fail again so I decided to get the new FrSky X9 Lite Pro and multi protocol module.
I have also recommended using these dongles to lots of fellow pilots in the DRL community and several have purchased one on my recommendation so when I heard a fellow pilot was having issues I was prompted to get this new FrSky version to see if it was his dongle at fault or a possible compatibility issue, plus it's always good to have a backup. I have now been testing for well over a month and have noticed an issue I never had using the DSMX version, and I'm not exactly sure what is causing it. I can be flying in DRL sim and all of a sudden at random intervals I lose all control and the light in the dongle goes out, and there is no pattern to it, I've tried reinstalling it and rebinding it but nothing seems to work so I'm thinking it's either a firmware issue or a hardware problem as the first one works flawlessly.
On a positive note I can happily say that I get 8 channels which is 2 more than the description says and that's made using it so much better. And I'd still recommend using one as they are such a great way for you to get comfortable for a nice long flying session in the sim.

Best Wireless Dongle Ever

So i was just going into fpv game recently, and i just happened to have a turnigy 9xr pro remote control with a frsky transmitter. I use this dongle to connect it to my pc for simulator. It connect really well without hassle.

After an update done by HK it´s working with my T12 4in1 transmitter. Bind in LBT 8ch this is EU version, as simple as , hold button and put it in usb port , blue light flashing press bind and it goes straight blue "no flashing" , ready to use, adjust your channels AETR with 2 slides and 2, 3position interrupt it works with AEROFLY others too. No need to adjust frequence. Perfect!
