Strange Unit

Feb 19, 2017

Bought this ESC for my Radjet which will be on 4S. Initial setup was good, hooked up the blue HK programming card and the only options you have are battery type, Brake, cutoff voltage per cell and change of direction. When I reconnected to my outrunner, all I got was constant chirping as if the ESC was not receiving a throttle signal!!
Tried everything but no good. I read somewhere that a similar thing happened to someone else and the fix was to hook up the ESC to 2S (I tried 3S & 4S previously) Well all of a sudden it started to work perfectly although the cell count is wrong. On 2S you get 3 beeps and 5 beeps on 4S?? Went through instruction manual and all seems OK. I'm only running 2 micro servos so BEC circuit is OK at 2 Amp.Now to test in the air.....?

Bought 2 of these. XT60 and 3mm motor connectors already neatly fitted.

Receiver lead a bit short, otherwise an

excellent product.

Have had two of these installed in one of my FPV planes. Bought them for the light weight and convenience of pre-installed connectors. Both have failed in the air. Luckily using a separate BEC and was able to keep control of the aircraft to land. Running 4s setup 42 amp max draw. Had good cooling airflow but they seem to run very hot and would quit working completely after a few minutes of hard running. Once cooled off will work again (for short periods) Might work better with a lower amp draw...

Brilliant. Simple to install, easy to set up and comes with 3.5mm bullet connectors and an XT60 plug already attached. I've been using the 35A version for a while in my scratchbuilds so it was an obvious choice when I needed a larger ESC.

I fitted one to my Hobbyking T45 Goshawk in place of the supplied 30A ESC and it delivers excellent performance.
