This is not a kit for beginners. It's a true ARF, I was up and flying within about an hour, no need for the manual but do not forget the plastic pieces... ;) Add glue to the main wing when assembling. This model flies better than 90pcnt of my foam planes, and makes a great hotliner sound. Rolls are straight and true, inverted is great...and very fast. Best of all...it flies excellent with a 2200 3s, Turnigy 2826/6 2200 motor and 6x4 prop...my favorite chassis.

I have about 20 flights on it and I like it. Snaps together and is durable. Except for the motor mount which broke the mount tabs even though I never had the prop strike the ground. I made a new motor mount out of a small piece of sheet metal I had lying around see the files section I posted a picture. The motor I used a 35-30 1400kv prop drive. I cut the shaft of the back and used the motor accessory kit to mount the 7X6e prop. A 3s 2200kva battery and it balances at as recommended in the instructions. Control travels are elevator 3/16 up 1/8 down measured at the trailing edge. Elevator at neutral and is in trim. 5/32 up and down for the ailerons measured at the trailing edge. Take off don't touch the aileron or elevator rudder inputs only till it has plenty of speed it may break ground without elevator input. Has a wicked rolling stall characteristic best not to stall it ever. You could enter a series of secondary stalls and crash even at altitude. Level flight full speed is about 65 mph. Landing keep it coming down hill the whole time with about 1/4 throttle as you round out near the ground throttle off. Don't hold off too long it could stall near the ground and roll in.

for it with power. I would have preferred it came without servos so I could have installed my own but all it all I'm pleased with it. I'll post a flight reviewed eventually.

I just finished building my MSX-R. My set up is a 2200mah 3S Nano-Tech battery, a NTM Prop Drive 28-36 2200KV / 696W motor, and a HobbyKing 40A BlueSeries ESC. I used the stock prop which may be a bit too much for it but I really can't see having wide open throttle for more than 2-3 seconds at at time. Some people say it needs a 4S battery but with my 3S set up the power is incredible. I haven't flown it yet but I think once I have a feel for the plane I will be able to hand launch it vertically with the power it has. I bought the MSX-R over the Edge and S-Bach because I liked the look of it and it was cheaper and had a slightly lighter shipping weight. As for assembly, it all snapped/screwed together in just a few minutes. I'm not sure I like the joining of wing to the fuselage though. It has two screws at the front of the wing but only one at the rear. It's probably strong enough but I did have thoughts of the wing separating from the fuselage during high negative G's. The motor fit perfectly on the firewall mount with the NTM accessory pack and no modifications were needed. I used the spinner with the accessory pack rather than the plastic one that came with it and the prop lined up perfectly with the front of the cowl. My plane came in at 730 grams which is about 90 grams heavier than advertised. I think the wing loading is a bit high but I've more than made up
