Very good airplane flies from the box

The scale aspect is formidable in the hand and flying
The only flaw is the lack of printed instructions
A leaflet wit basic adjustments and assembly scheme will suffice
It is assembled in minutes and flies very well in all modes
In grass fields better to discard the landing gear
Lack of spares currently is a worry, making impeccable landings mandatory for avoidin problems with prop and spinner

Mustang P51D Stabilised Moonbeam McSwine

First flight yesterday in still conditions backed up by another 3 flights earlier this morning - full stabilising system ON - flew perfectly - half throttle on a 2S battery - plenty fast enough for an old bloke who has NEVER flown fixed wing RC EVER - I have only flown rc helis before. Mode 2 took some getting used to while flying a new first flight model.
An excellent model that flew exactly as it should with just slight pitch trim input at half throttle.
Thanks HK for a new perspective in the world of rc as I did not think I would ever be able to fly an rc fixed wing model given my advancing over 70 yrs and less than sharp reflexes.

Great Plane

I wanted a smaller chuck plane to put on the back seat of my car for quick flying sessions and this one turned out to be perfect....
I'm getting about 6 to 7 mins flying time on the recommended 2 cell 950 battery and the CG with this battery is perfect.... The flight is smooth and the stabiliser works well even in slightly gusty wind

Spare parts?

Plane is great but you can't get spare parts. Motor is some exotic type that can't be found anywhere, the props are just non existent... I'll be very careful IF  I buy something again here...

Very nice plane, flies great

I have bought 2 of these planes, great value for the price. Only down side is the motor, I had a very slight nose landing no damage, but the motor shaft broke. This should not be a problem to replace if only Hobby King would have the motor in stock.
Many of my RC club members do not buy from HK anymore, brcause of bad stock keeping. Keep this in mind when you are planning to buy a model

Excellent flyer. Difficult to hand launch. On grass with l/g, takes off in less then 3 feet.
