nice 4 stars for the Moth

Jul 29, 2021

This famous biplane looks really good on the ground as well in the air. I fly with 4S 4000mAh, 4250/680kv Motor and a 15x6 Lightwood prop. My AUW is about 3200 Gramms. This is a bit on the heavy side for my taste, but it makes the plane less fragile and more stable when it is windy. It is very easy too fly and land and you need not really high tech servos for it. The only thing which I really do not like is the covering. All VQ models have this folie which makes wrinkles everywhere as soon you get in the sun with it. You CANNOT us a sealing iron to get rid of the winkles. It can only be fixed carefully with a heat gun - temperature butten in the low position.

It works excellent

Jul 27, 2021

It works excellent and is what I expected it to be.
I use 6S 3000 mAh Nano Tech 70c with SK 3 4250 410 KV motor 80 A BEC 5.5V and Master Airscrew S2 - 13/8, fast servos Corons DS-319 MG in connection with a 3-axis gyro.
Flies well and is a recommendation for the price. Improvements to the chassis and the scale optics are of course further options that can still be made.

Valoración dle kit Tiger Moth 140mm

Jul 11, 2021

Jun 26, 2021

This is a nice looking and fun plane. It looks as though mine may have been one that some else had returned. I eventually found that the pre built fuselage was not straight which meant the wings did not go on evenly. So the first flight I had to make a big trim to correct it. I decided to remove the wings and set them straight. Should have checked this the first time.
I used the O.S. Max FSA72 II 0.72 4 Stroke which sounds great but is not heavy enough to counter balance the tail. I have to add considerable weight to the nose and seems a little under powered. The FSA 0.91 4 stroke may fit but I suggest you do your own research on that.
The cover does sag in direct sunlight and the after a little time tighten up again. very strange. I have tried to reshrink the covering but made no difference.
In all it is good looking and traditional model that I enjoy flying.

Nice ARF

Jun 12, 2021

Building this Moth is very straightforward, I found all parts went together well the only slight improvement I made was the fit of the under carriage overall a well thought out kit.
The first flight went extremely well with no trimming required I’m using a OS 52 four stroke with a 13x4 prop

Nice kit

Jun 05, 2021

Really nice kit. Arriwed with no damages, I have never bought an ARF which has been som well packed, thumbs up!
Started mounting the plane and here are some points:
As this is a VQ model the covering is a kind of self sticking decal, good covering work but quality is not the best.
Push rods and pipes are extremely oversized, does not look good.
All hardware needs to be replaced (as many ARF:s) Really crappy those included.
Nice details, even a painted pilot figure and instruments are applied in cockpit.
Parts fits really good together.
Overall a nice kit due to the price.
I can recommend buying this plane.
