My favourite full size jet and the model flies OK. A bit disappointed though with the structural design of this model. the C/F wing joiners do not extend past the fuselage cutout! This means that all flight and landing loads are borne by the approximately 10mm thick centre wing tongue. Naughty designer! Why didn't you at least extend the C/F joiners out at least to the U/C legs! If I had made a second flight on its' first outing the left wing would have separated! I have now grafted in a wing spar to correct the deficiency.

Rec'd in 9 bus. days from USA WH to midwest. No damage to parts. Assembled well and fit finish looks good. So far the electronics function properly. Only taxi test so far on Zippy 2650 mah 40c 6s. It wanted to get up on high speed taxi, so appears stock setup has plenty of power. Swapped out the main landing gear servo for a mg I had on hand. Model looks really good, but those lil Chinese women shoved the decal sheet down the side of the box and had major creases and sharp folds across the RAF markings. I am trying to press them out but doesn't look like it will work. the other decal sheet with just black numbers and letters is in pristine condition (of course!). Retracts looked sturdy enough but I reinforced the mounts. Will follow up with flight review later.

My rc lander hawker hunter arrive to my surprise no opto speedy and no bec it had a rc lander 70amp speedy so as this is a 6cell you will have to add a bec. This is the same speedy that came with my 3cell rc lander panther it is the best 3cell jet I have.so the speedy and bec is not what you get in any hobby king rc lander jets. But good jet over all

Well she came today, was impressed, the only thing I was a bit spewing about is that it's eps and not epo , other than that great looking jet. I'll post another review after I've flown it.

Received the hunter as a freebie. Put it together last night. Quite involved putting the plane together but not too difficult with a bit of extra time over a normal PNF. Very good quality kit. Foam is very solid, not sure if it's EPO or not. Feels more solid than any other foam planes I have both EPO and eps. Interesting to see how it goes with some bumps, i think it will be quite brittle. Only problems with the kit were the landing gear servos. Much too weak to hold the plane up and collapsed while taxing. Changed them over to metal gear servos which did the trick, very solid now. The esc supplied was not as described in the description. It wasn't an opto it was an 60amp sbec. Hopefully its not a problem with all the servos. Wasnt able to fully program the esc from the beeps as it seems to skip part of the first step where you choose the number of battery cells the plane is running off. Factory setting is 6S but it still seems to work okay with the 5S 3000mah that I'm running the plane off. I haven't actually flown the plane yet but it feels to have plenty of thrust with the 5S and pulls 42amps and 750W at full throttle.

I'll report back once I have the first flight.

Continuation of previous post.... Customer Service wanted a picture of the plane in the shipping box on a scale to send to product support before doing anything. I understand why the picture but the whole plane and on a scale tells me they are expecting to have me ship it back for a new one. I already have too much work on this one and already trashed the box. The packing was not that great as it was bagged and wrapped in foam "paper" and all parts dropped into a box of correct size. Not a very good looking package job but it seemed to work as things arrived without damage. However, I can not provide the necessary pictures and don't have the time to mess with trying repack this thing just to get three new struts. I took a guess based on the pictures on the web site and adjusted the lighter springs to match what the stiffer spring was set for. As the struts were different color, I don't see how anyone could mess this up but I guess I take quality a little more seriously. Only time will tell if this will hold up or be a turkey. If necessary, I'll go out and buy some replacement springs just so they all are the same and paint the struts so they look the same. 2 crowns for packing, 2 crowns for prebuilt work, but 4 for value as it is still cheaper than most similar products.

Got mine this week and started the build. Went through every nut and bolt to be sure they were tight and found a few loose items. The overall construction is good, the parts completed at the factory look reasonable and not too bad. The quality of the items use is okay but this price range but I had a major issue with the retracts. I found that two different struts were used. The nose gear and one main strut were of one type and the other main a different type. They look almost the same except two are aluminium in color and the other is blue. The spring rates of the different struts are very different, the nose and one main are lightly sprung with the odd strut being almost 60pcnt stiffer (2.5kg vs 3.5kg on the two main struts). This means that I have either too stiffly or too lightly sprung struts. This will affect landings and takeoffs if the nose strut is too soft. Being too softly sprung will allow the nose to drop during the takeoff run and cause the wings to pin the plane to the ground. There is just not enough speed or elevator to overcome this downward angle. Customer support could not answer the question of which of the struts are wrong but the pictures shows the blue colored struts as being correct which is the stiffer of the two. They wanted me to take a picture of the whole plane in the shipping box sitting on a scale before they would do anything. I don't have the box,

Excellent quality foam, all work done except for assembling the groups of components..Quality retracts..servos and ESC...as you would expect from Lander products

Flies predictable....fast on landing but realistic.I would advise to train on the Vampire before flying this beauty.

Would highly recommend

Yesterday I maidened the Hun and everything went right. I used a nano-tech 2650mAh 6s 25C.

The plane took off easily and climbed like a real jet. She was a bit tail heavy, despite I added 70g of lead behind the nose cone.

The plane is very fast and the EDF is really smooth and with a nice sound.

I had some banking left tendency due to a non neutral airbrake.

After 3 minutes I landed a bit rough but the alloy LG resisted the bad treatment. Only the front LG bent a little.

Landing is very fast since I didn't use the airbrakes.

She looks beautiful in the air. Check the video.
