I bought this for my Align Trex 500 ESP, that is in a scale fuselage, for it's black color. Out of the box, the gear set did not spin freely, and I found the finish of the washer between the main and auto gear was rough to the touch. I replaced the main gear case, with an Align main gear case, and it still would not spin freely. For some reason there was some binding going on that I could not resolve. Also, when I installed the gear set, the main gear was large enough, than a stock Align main gear, that I had to readjust the gar mesh. This part was unusable, in a Align Trex 500 ESP, and I would not use it in a HK500 either. I threw it away and ordered and Align Main Gear and Autorotation gear.
