I purchased 3 of these. I have been pleasantly surprised by how well they fly. There are a few quality issues such as the screw heads strip really easy and the main "Blades" really should be set aside and used for stirring paint, not flying. But for this price, it's a steal! Buy a better set of blades and a very high quality 1.5mm hex driver and you will be very happy.

This is an los price kit ( not bad ), si it is of low quality ( not bad ) , I had problems with the rotors , the main rotor vibrates too much and I could not remove it with adjusting . The tail rotor is not going well at all , I have to force ajust due it try to turns to the left continually , also had a bearing mounted on wrong position. I had to spent $36 more in a set of metal rotors.
The main frame had poorly assembled screws and can drop and lose.
Due my experience, I would not recommend it.

I was shocked at what came with this kit for $30. Quality looking parts. I never flew it as I was scared off by the rotors coming off during testing. Be very careful, check everything, Especially the rotors!! Not for kids

Well mine is still in the box but may I say WOW. I am in the process of gathering all the parts I need. (Motor, Esc, Servos and Gyro). Please note that this HK450Heli is a kit but has been assembled into modules. Body, Rotor Head, Main Gear and Tail Rotor. So the fiddly part, is mostly done "MOSTLY".

Screws are porly made, but interesting last longer if using only Turnigy screw drivers. Main shaft was stuck in head block, had to pul it with twezers, mybe head block is bent? Mounted boom and head setup on blade 400, the thing flys like stock, but have much vibrations, still searching the issue. Worth the money, by far best value of all my purcahes.

I ordered my kit monday got it on friday. The kit was much better than expected. My tail boom and braces proper length. The screws are not soft in fact i striped a allan key on one. no misaligned holes.
It seems like hobby king fixed every complaint about this heli. Other than the blades but who cares order some with the heli and you get the best deal on a 450 imaginable. After seeing mine a buddy who refused to buy cheap clones ordered 2. And i will be buying another one on payday thanks hobby king!

Stay away from this heli kit, the screws to secure the tail boom had been thread locked into the plastic part of the frame making it impossible to loosen them to attach the tail boom. very poor quality. stay away.

I bought 2 of these kits in 2011. These cannot be beat for price. When I built these I had NO skills in building RC helicopters. I would still recommend a micro CP machine for learning 3d, but once you've got your moves figured out, take it to a 450. I have completely demolished one of the 450's and I cannibalized the second for spare parts! Great helicopter! This helicopter taught me everything I know about building kits.
The dual point pitch slider that comes with this kit is better than the pitch sliders that come with the HK450GT and HK450Pro, even though it is plastic.
