. the first thing i did was throwing the 'canopy' away. It was white with yellow stripes and didnt look anywhere near to what we see at the pictures. The quality was miserable and there were scratches everywhere. this is really disappointing since the quality of the rest of the car seems to be pretty good. Even though it is cheaper than an original hpi its still an expensive 'toy' and one should expect an acceptable chassis for this car.

Habe den SC-Truck mit einer voellig zerstoerten Karosserie erhalten. Ein Transportschaden kann ausgeschlossen werden, da der Aeussere Karton absolut i.O. war. Die Siegel des inneren Karton waren bereits geffnet! Ich bin aufgefordert worden die defekte Karo nach GB zu senden - auf meine Kosten natrlich.
Ich kaufe gerne und auch viel bei HobbyKing, aber dieser Umstand und das nicht anstandslose Ersetzen finde ich wenig kundenfreundlich.
Ansonsten zur Qualitt - es ist und bleibt ein Clone und ist mit dem Original nicht zu vergleichen. Wegen dem gnstigen Preis ist das aber OK.
Mit intakter Karosserie wrde ich eine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen :)

Good Value For your money,

First i only bought it to sell in parts... but when it came in i was sold..
What A beast... the body is awesome and looks really good.

Some parts look a little more fragile then a original HPI. But it can handle a good bashing..

The carberateur settings are really bad from the box but not really an issue...

last but not least i couldn't fit an original HPI Steering servo without modification on the batteriebox.. but also not a big of problem..

just value for money!

First off, this car is a clone of a HPI baja 5SC and also sold under the name ROVAN BAJA 260SC.



I Have owned the car for a few weeks now and used up around 2 litre of fuel. Ran into a few things, landed incorrectly and driven it on Ice, snow, grass and tarmac. I am a bit suprised that the quality is as good as it is for the money, extra much so since I have driven it in cold weather. the plastic does feel a bit hard, but the only thing broken so far is the front bumper bracket, it takes the brute force when you land on the nose. So, I recommend to get a few extra of them right from the get go. Also I would advise that you get prefilters for the pullstart and air filter. especially if you plan to race or bash in dry dirt or sand.



Since all the spares will fit perfectly from HPI baja 5 you will not have to wait for weeks to get spare parts all the way from the global store for this car.





Before first run:

Make sure to tighten all the nuts and bolts. A few were a bit loose and in one mount to the rollcage there were no threads.



The carburetor was poorly adjusted from the factory, about 1/2 turn too much out on the highspeed needle and about the same on the lowspeed.



There was an excessive amount of toe in on the rear wheels.



Ducttape the inner foams of all tires. This will make them much more durable and not wear out as fast. The quality of the foams felt good btw.



The manual that comes with the car is basically only an exploded view and not much help w

this car is everithing you will expect from a short course truck !
the parts are from a very good quality, and the look of the body is magnificant .
after a little bit of checking out on other websites ,i find out that there is almost none of difference between them.
only the price was in this case the big deal!
i am very pleased with this car ,even the motor starts after 2 tiers
