The motor flutters and do not start without a hand impulse in the prop. I tried different configurations in the 40A Hobbyking esc, another esc. without result. The motor seems to have lack of torque. No use at all.

Shaft is only 3mm. In the first flight my plane had a small crash and the shaft was bend. I can't find any replacement for it, so i can throw away the rest of the motor.

Very good and powerfull motor. Over 300 flights behind and still running without any problems. With 10x5 and 4s setup over 500w and my yak(1kg) climbing up endlessly. See video from discussion board.

I received the motor and it was DOA. Also the prop shaft would not fit on the motor. It was not machined to fit.

My first review was in error. After I tried it with a 9X4 prop and let it wind out it now turns the 10X4.7 at around 9,300RPM, drawing 23 amps and 350watts, and barely heats up at all. Did I have a bearing stick until I got the Rs high enough? I don't know but I am now pleased with this motor. Unfortunately the Extra i installed it in didn't survive my enthusiasm and I'll have to find a new airframe!

i have this motor in my HK EPP Pitts. 40A ESC, 4S 1600 mAh Lipo and a GWS 3-blade 9x5 Prop gives 520W. More than enough for the Pitts. Great Power!!

I'm not pleased. I might have gotten a dud but mine draws 33amps to swing a 10X4.7 prop at only 8,000 RPM with 11.1volt battery. It gets too hot to touch in under 10 seconds. It's completely useless for the plane I got it for. I might be able to get some use out of it by swinging a bigger prop with a 7.4volt battery in my ASW28 but I doubt I'll bother.

follow up: on my 2nd motor after burning up 1st. GWS 1080 DD prop (even with tips cut) is too much. 590 watts is NOT max! It is way lower, around 400 or below, yet still impressive for a 28mm can. heated up the stator base to about 85 C as i up-propped. 9075 might be as far as i will go on a 4S and it that is on a cold day up here in the Rockies.

Einer der besten und strksten Motoren die in dieser Gewichtsklasse zu haben sind! Habe den Motor in einer Minimag 650 gr. 1800/3S 9x3.8 Prop. der Flieger geht mit Halbgas senkrecht! Absolute Kaufempfehlung! Great Job! HK Robs

really nice motor. went up to 4s in my GWS Corsair and the 2834 handled it. No increase in weight. Did NOT have to modify the GWS stick-motor mount for shaft collar . Ran a trimmed down GWS 1080 DD prop (@1000m ASL) and got 585 watts with crazy thrust. Motor runs really warm with heat transferring out through the prop nut but the entire unit never exceeded the 100 C mark. might want to pick up an extra prop mount, the one included is kind of skinny.
